I recently had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional service at Tipunan. Not only is their cuisine absolutely delightful, but their commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. We had a large catering order for an early morning event, and they graciously opened an hour early just to accommodate us-!
The party tray was beautifully arranged and the food was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing their dedication to Filipino quality and flavor. From the freshness of the ingredients to the exquisite presentation, it was evident that they take great pride in their craft. We ordered the Chicken BBQ Skewers, the Lumpia, and the Vegetarian Pancit, every tray filling our guests with absolute quality.
The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that our order was nothing short of PERFECT. Their willingness to be flexible and accommodating truly sets them apart from other establishments.
If you're looking for a restaurant that combines exceptional service with mouth-watering Filipino dishes, look no further than Tipunan. Highly recommended, and it gets the Oregano seal of approval!
Vegetarian options: The Vegetarian Pancit was filling and powerful!

My first time ordering here . As I ordered the beef Nalaga which was okay but the Pancit was too plain and the lettuce in the pancit was too big for chunks of lettuce. Being a Filipina who grew up with filipino food first time having plain pancit was not too happy . Lettuce should be cut in slices like safe the cost on chunks of lettuce and and more options to the pancit

Over the past 1.5 years, I have consistently ordered from Tipunan, and my favorite dish remains the sinigang (beef rib version). The quality of the dish is exceptional, and its flavor is unparalleled. Initially, the saltiness was slightly excessive for my taste preferences. However, I recall an option on DoorDash that allowed customers to select between “less flavor” and “more flavor”, more flavor was where saltiness was added significantly. I do believe that the saltiness issue was addressed as per my previous feedback.
Another family favorite from Tipunan is their billo-bilo. The flavor is equally remarkable, making it a delightful treat, we can NEVER get sick of ordering that every single time.
My rating of 4 stars is primarily due to the challenges that I have faced in communicating with the restaurant to make adjustments to my orders. For instance, the cost of requesting in adding okra to the sinigang, requesting the cost for extra sauce, or simply by requesting the cost for additional eggs to the pork adobo prior to placing the order.
Unfortunately, there are no options to include these requests in the order preferences section on DoorDash. Despite these difficulties, I was able to connect with a representative on the phone tonight, although the process was somewhat challenging and tricky, I was still able to speak with someone.
I sincerely hope that the restaurant will prioritize with responding to customer inquiries and implementing a system that allows customers to submit requests for modifications to their orders via phone.
Regarding the service aspect, I believe that customer service encompasses all interactions with customers, regardless of the medium used. Therefore, I have placed 4 stars for service.
Overall, Tipunan remains the most authentic Filipino restaurant I have encountered in Oakland, and I am deeply appreciative of their culinary offerings.

I ordered the sinigang pork ribs. It was horrible. The veggies was old, spinach was turning yellow, and eggplant was okay. The pork was hard and tough to bite and chew. You can't even tear it apart. I could eat it. Broth was salty, not that sour, no flavor. I would never go back again.
Parking: Don't expect good parking, it's Oakland.

I ordered chicken Adobo on DoorDash from here, and it was truly delicious. The portion size was great. Thank you for that! I can't wait to dine in person.

Best Filipino food in oakland. Super authentic Bangus. Only thing is I wish they’d eventually have their own restaurant instead of a ghost kitchen but I will keep ordering from here because it’s just so good. But I respect that restaurants are expensive and that these folks are doing what they can because the food is so worth it.

I ordered the chicken lumpia half tray for a potluck and it was a hit! They were super accommodating when I called a little past the 48- hour order ahead window.
When I picked up my order, they wheeled it out to my car and even gave me a sample to prove it was fresh! It was super fresh and piping hot! Great customer service and delicious lumpia. I can’t wait to try more food from here!
Delicious!!! The service was on point and very helpful. The sinigang was on the money wish there was a bit more meat, and maybe some Diakon in it. The lumpias were tasty but on the smaller side, but the pork belly was where it was at! would def recommend

Be forewarned that this is a Ghost Kitchen, it’s not a real restaurant you can walk into. It’s part of the Oakland Food Hall which is a completely “digital” food ordering place and pick up (some dine in seating but ambience is super questionable). Also, we arrived around 7:10 and ordered (didn’t know it was a ghost kitchen) and walked out with our food in hand at 8:15 or so. Once we placed our order, it showed a staggering wait time of about 40 minutes, but it actually ended up taking about an hour. They kept saying they were backed up but there were barely any people ordering from Tipunan, mostly the Pollo Campero place :( So not sure how they were 1 hour backed up for 2 entrees and the lumpia which were cold. The pork adobo and loganisa entrees however were amazing. Delicious food, but I can’t justify the unpredictable wait. We may order way in advance then pick it up, but honestly it’s not a great area at night as well.

I ordered catering from Tipunan for a 30-person surprise party and they took such good care of us. The party was on a Sunday, which isn’t during normal business hours, but Jojo made sure pick up went smoothly. The food was exceptional and we got compliments from a lot of people at the party asking where we ordered from. We got chicken skewers, pork adobo, vegetarian lumpia and tofu sisig - everything was scrumptious and we had more than enough for our group. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some authentic, Filipino flavors!

The food here is so delicious. We had a birthday party for our daughter and the food was such a hit! Everyone was asking about it and going back for more. The staff is also extremely accomodating. There was a miscommunication with my order and they handled it seamlessly. These guys are great! We highly recommend them.

Great authentic Filipino food! I ordered the Chicken Adobo, Garlic Rice, and Nilaga. The chicken was really soft and peeled off the bone easily!
