Hot sauerkraut, all the mustards, and reasonable price for a just-grilled sausage of your choice on a toasted bun? Sign me up.

Best sausages in the Bay Area, friendly staff and interesting old fashioned libertarian literature

This place is a staple in the East Bay. Brings me back to college parties and late night grub. I crave this place from time to time.

Great tasting as always. They always have tons of their politics on the walls in the form of posters and print outs; it seems weird that they now are Credit Cards Only and No Cash. Did the original owners die?

This should be probably one of my favorite places to go get good hotdogs for really cheap prices and the best one to be honest I went to the other spot in Berkeley as well and it’s the same. I always love to get lemon chicken mango chicken original one these are always my go to place definitely recommend

Love this place I don't mind the 30 minute drive when I can to come get a good dog! Even better experience when Mario is back there cooking em up! He is very helpful and made the trip here worth it! Thanks Mario!!

Have been going to Top Dog since I was a kid (at the Monterey/Hopkins location). I don’t live in the USA anymore and going to Top Dog when I am visiting the Bay Area is a must.

This place is not for conservative people. Seems racist plus doesn’t even take cash payments, I’m guessing because the rude cashier they have doesn’t know how to count real money. He was strongly offended by my american flag bandanna on my neck. At one point at the I was talking to patrick star if you know what I mean. And all became I had an American flag. Also never changed his gloves in between customers and money handling from apparently favored customers. Only I couldn’t pay with cash but others he was okay with. I wish I knew his name to make it more direct bit is the rude guy with long hair at the cashier. Never coming back

It’s so good! Although there’s a short wait for the sausage, it’s so worth it and it’s great Becuase they put it on the grill right after you order it. The staff is almost always so kind!

A cheap sausage and a piece of bread is not something that can surprise you
This place is gross. Flies everywhere. Unclean, unprofessional. Buns are starchy and old. Tiresome libertarian rhetoric covering the walls is fine, I guess, if your hot dogs are awesome. But they are not. I'd love to see this place flipped to something excited on a busy block instead of something so old and gross. Hard pass.
