I had visited Two Pitchers multiple times previously and had had excellent encounters with the staff—up until recently. On my latest visit, I had been informed, to my surprise, while I could not enter since there had been an incident involving someone else—a friend of mine—on a particular evening when I had not attended. I felt the whole thing to be utterly unfair and unprofessional.

What made the situation worse was the attitude of the bartender who addressed me. While I won’t name names, he was an African American man working that evening. His tone was hostile from the start, and instead of handling the situation with any courtesy or explanation, he shut me down immediately with zero interest in hearing anything I had to say. It felt personal and discriminatory.

This is not even about me either—I’ve heard the other customers talk about his rude attitude and unprofessionalism. It is too bad too, as the rest of the employees were always excellent, and I actually liked going there. But treatment like that is going too far.

I sincerely hope the management takes serious stock of the way in which events of these sorts are handled and the customer service being upheld—because one individual employee should not be able to ruin what would otherwise be a great spot.

Place was cool, the customer service could be better. The guy collecting payments tossed the machine at the counter for me to pay when it was time to close the tab

Great place to meet up with friends on the weekend.

Comedy night start at 8 pm bar closes at 9:15…..published time 10 pm! Why bother? Do your self a favor and avoid as the beer is known to be sub-par. No really; bad beer! Left in the keg too long and has an off smell.

Typical “Oakland vibe” place. Nice and relaxing. Fresh beer and friendly service. Cheers 🍺

Tues night bartenders are underwhelming, went there last night & I felt like I was bothering the male and female bartender behind the bar. I used to bartend, and on a slow night you should at least be on point with the customer service. They were more interested in chit chatting with each other and seem bothered everytime a customer needed a drink. Great customer service is how you get good tips, not sure if they are aware of that. I would be hesitant to revisit a place where I feel like the bartender doesn’t want to bothered.

I really wanted to like this place. I moved in a block away and I LOVE Lovely's. As a result, I've ordered drinks at TPBC four times now and to be honest, I can't understand the culture of the bartenders. I used to bartend myself and I was under the impression that the rules hadn't changed. If you want people to come to your bar, order more drinks and/or tip well, you have to try to treat them with respect, but at a minimum, acknowledge them when they're at the bar staring at you.

When you have a bad experience with a single employee somewhere, you can dismiss it for a number of reasons. However, after four separate, practically identical experiences, it feels much less like a fluke. Let's run down the list of anti-customer tactics present: Inattentive, check. Indifferent, check. Lazy, check. Rude, check. Thinnly veiled animosity, check & check.

However, the beer is tastey and the attached burger place is positively TRANSCENDANT (See my review of Lovely's) so, I suppose, they don't really need to be nice. Well, I can honestly say that, given the proximity of my apartment, I would visit this place WAY more often if I felt like I wouldn't be treated like a nusance just by sitting at the bar. Till then, I'll just get my Lovely's to go.

So I had my first taste at two pitchers brewing company on my way home from my bachelor party. I sat at a long table with my four brothers and my father, and we ordered six blood orange radlers not truly knowing what that was. It immediately became one of our favorites. And a tradition of mine. Every year for my anniversary, I make sure I have two six packs of blood orange radlers with me on my anniversary. My wife and I both very much so enjoy them and I very much so enjoy reminiscing of that lunch with my brothers and my father. So thank you for making such an amazing drink. And cheers to many more years of tradition.

Visiting from Maui. We found a Super cool brewery. Awesome indoor/outdoor areas. Great for large parties or casual day drinking.

Great open air bar with plenty of seating. Tremendous hamburger stand attached to the bar that also provides ice cream. Great selection of beers.

This place is AWESOME. Great vibe and very comfortable seating. The staff is very nice and helpful. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. I'm not a big radler drinker, but they had delicious ones that really changed my mind. Baby and dog friendly both inside and outside too (high chairs, changing station in the bathroom). We'll be coming back!

Hands down, the best beer I've ever had is called the Weekender! This spot is very laid-back with friendly service and an amazing selection of beers. While the slushy I tried was just okay, the beer more than made up for it. I highly recommend sticking with the beer here! If I were local, I would definitely be back. A must-visit for any beer enthusiast!

Ordered two pitchers of the baseline larger for $12 each only to find out my bartenders did not communicate with each other and ended up over charging me. I ended up paying $50 for two of their “cheapest” pitchers. Scam, ended up playing DOUBLE what I should’ve. Make sure this doesn’t happen to you if you decide to go.

The beer, the staff, and the vibes are impeccable, but there are some pain points with service that they could stand to address. On busier nights the indoor side of the bar always gets packed; circling around to the outdoor side isn't an issue, but moving a few chairs elsewhere to leave a space for counter ordering would speed things up and keep traffic moving better indoors.

Feels wrong to complain about anywhere with 6$ pints in this day and age, but... with that out of the way, there's nothing else to mar the experience. These are proper, exquisitely refreshing radlers served by friendly people.
