I walked in with low expectations only because not that many people were in the restaurant. I was proven wrong quickly. The food was amazing and the service was great. I can't stand it when you get giant sushi rolls. These were small and very fresh. The dudes rolling the sushi were bout the business. Tashiko was a great waitress and she made our 10 year old picky eater feel special and went out of her way to make sure she had a good experience. The salad dressing is amazing , the nigiri and rolls were awesome as was everything else. Great little date spot. Highly recommend.

Authentic. I lived in Japan - Uzen food is wonderful. Highest quality And much more reasonably priced in Japan. Best Japanese resturant I know in the East Bay.
The Japanese food was really delicious. Nice quiet place for a chill gathering. It is a little small, so I would recommend calling ahead.

I like their sushi and ambiance. Pretty fresh fish and good tasting. I didn't try their other soups or others dishes. One star off for the menus not having prices. UPDATE: they seem to have taken care of their staff issue and their current staff is on point. ......... And one star off for the hit-or-miss waitstaff. One woman was wearing what looked like 5th grade sleepover pajamas and spent most of the time flirting with the other staff and ignoring customers, which ould make for good entertainment if only I had been able to place my order..
