I suspect nothing will top the strawberry donut creation from Liberation Kitchen in Chicago, but these were super tasty! Highly recommend if you’re in the Alameda/San Francisco area. The lemon filling was extra awesome.
VEGAN BANH MI !!!!!
I know this shop is famous for its donuts, but I was excited to hear that they've added banh mi. I had the char siu version and it was amazing! The crunch and give of the bread roll, then the crunch (carrot and cucumber, jalapeño) and smoothness (paté, mayo, char siu) of the filling offers the classic banh mi experience. The umami bomb of the mushroom paté really raises the level. Most vegan banh mi just omits the paté. And it's a generous size....
