Their vegetable curry is fantastic. I add more veggies to the leftovers and have another meal.

Vientiane Café is a solid spot for flavorful Laotian cuisine. The dishes are fresh, well-seasoned, and generous in portion. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow during busy hours. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great choice for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

I really loved the Lao Special menu. You can order small portion of diverse foods. I ordered several items I have never eaten before, and they were all fantastic. The fermented pork sausage was the most "out there" dish from an American point of view: I didn't even know such a thing existed. Nice interior, and the service is great. This is some of the best Laotian food I've tried in the Bay. It turns out the portions are pretty generous, so I took soke home for another meal.

If you want authentic Lao food, look no further! I highly recommend their Lao Papaya Salad, Lao BBQ Chicken, Lao Sausage, Mok Pa (streamed fish with herbs wrapped in banana leaf), Nam Khao (fried rice ball salad), and don’t forget to pair it all with some Sticky Rice! Their noodle soups are great too, especially their Khao Soi and Khao Piak. Friendly mom and pop vibes, located at the intersection of a neighborhood.

Parking: Restaurant is located at an intersection of a residential neighborhood, so there’s free street parking, but it can be a little congested and limited. Well worth it though!

I’ve been frequenting this spot with my family ever since I was a kid. Amazing food! And there is a good variety of options and everything is cooked with care. Def try the Nam kao and lao sausage. If you love spice, get the papaya salad! If you want desert, the mango and sticky rice or fried banana and ice cream are always good! The food is always good if you dine-in, take out, or get it delivered (I’ve had it all ways).
