Omg! Was hoping this was super hot dog spot like the ones in LA! And it is so official! The jerk sauce on my hot link dog was so good!! This was a good quality link! So I'm excited to try the vegan dog next! The buns are a great vehicle for these high quality meats! They will toast the bun on request! Service was great, easy and quick! The vibe are so Oakland! Chill for a bit and watch some tv, or stop in for take out! I love this addition to downtown Oakland! Winky Dinky!!!

My cousin had heard some good things and as we were talking about it in the store, one of the other customers agreed and started raving about them.We got there and it was a vibe immediately. Doubled up BoomBoxes playing good music. (Pictured in the Video I submitted)The people were friendly, smiling, it was dope.Because of a parade running through Oakland, they had run out of Dogs so we got Gumbo instead. (The gentleman at the counter said it was “the one”)Hands Down, the Gumbo was ???Good FlavorGreat PortionsTons of MeatI will be going back to try the Dogs at some point, but Im confident I will have to run it back with the Gumbo first.

I've been to a lot of hot dog places, but Winky Dinky Dogs in Oakland is in a league of its own! I tried both the original hot dog and the chili hot dog. Each bite was a delicious journey of flavors, perfectly prepared and seasoned. But what really sets Winky Dinky Dogs apart is the exceptional management. The manager's commitment to customer service is unparalleled. Winky Dinky Dogs is not just the best hot dog place in Oakland. It's a must for anyone who appreciates good food and even better hospitality!

Cool ambiance, pleasant service, and the hot dog was good. I think the menu should show the prices. Why are the prices hidden? Is this the Ticketmaster technique or something? $16 for just a hot dog is too much. I could go to Hot Boys down the street and get an excellent chicken sandwich with fries for that price. I ordered the World Famous Hot Dog Co. It was delicious, but it had jalapeños in it and they were not listed on the menu. The spiciness overpowered the other flavors. I want to like this spot, but it's too expensive for what it is and I don't appreciate the hidden prices.

How can you possibly find something wrong with Winky Dinky Dogs. You can't. It's magnificent. Made me love mayo on a dog. Plus the Hollywood shuffle reference is awesome because that movie is amazing.

Great people, great place, and great service. I had the mac & cheese hot dog and the banana pudding. The portion size for the hot dog was generous. My food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good (no flavor). $12 for a single serving of banana pudding is ridiculous!

I’d like to see cheese and raw onion options for this.I’m not as crazy about the Original - mayo on a hot dog is too much for me.Would like to see Chicago-style and BBQ bacon options. Will be back to try the mac and cheese dog and the gumbo.Prices are a bit high, but that’s the Bay.Good service and I had a nice chat with the owner/manager.Vegetarian options: Vegan dog option on three of the items.
