I'm back 7+ years later to update my review... I like Wolfhound! It was the perfect place to spend a chill St. Paddy's day with friends. We happened to be staying in an Airbnb in the area and it was so great to take a 5 month stroll to get a drink out of the house. Music was great. Drink options were awesome. And dogs are allowed, which is important to me as a dog owner. My friends and I laughed at my old review because so much has changed since then (with me lol). Mainly I've gotten older and have so much more respect for chill bars like wolfhound. The decor is great and the added freebies from Jameson were a welcome surprise. This bar is truly up my alley now. I will be back whenever I'm in the area.

Bartender dude with glasses chased me into the corner booth we were sitting at, to tell me I had to tip him, something about " doesn't get paid enough to be there " stood there waiting for me to pull a 1 dollar bill. Genuinely ruined my image of this bar, shame it was so close to home.

A really great neighborhood bar, friendly staff, clean and not sticky. No smoke inside although there is sometimes a gauntlet outside. This place will be truly incredible when Delirama opens next door as food is the only missing item here.

Seems like an ok place to drink. I only went here a couple times with my best friend. The bar tender was brief with me and gave me my drinks. It was interesting that Wolf Hound is almost in Emeryville.

Overall the service is great. All of the Doormen are all professional and as kind as one can expect at a independent dive bar. I love the ambience and solid pinball game. I go there to unwind after a long day. The entire staff is great minus on person who I will not name. It only takes one person to ruin a good establishment and that must be his mission. It's can I get a drink minus the terrible attitude. Forget about it if you want a water. Very sad about this.

I’ve loved this bar for over six years! They make awesome drinks without overcharging you for atmosphere - the divey vibe keeps it casual while the quality keeps it hot and happening every night. The hidden gem of Emeryville. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out!

Personally know the guy who bartends there on weekends after 7pm, absolutely amazing. However I did experience ageism and discrimination a few times visiting. To be fair it's pretty obvious certain people aren't welcomed given the location.

A perfectly fine dive bar. They have a few beers on tap and some seating inside. They have a fairly good liquor selection as well.

This is the cup of a carpenter. Divey on the outside, ice cream paint job on the inside.Outstanding staff, drinks ranging from reasonable to overtly generous, and quite the location.Highly recommended.
