Absolutely aamzing. I recommend ordering one of the 5-course options, so they just keep the deliciousness coming for you.

-The quality of the fish is very good and tasty. They know how to combine and play with the ingredients
- the price is too expensive for what you get
- the service is average. Our server is very friendly. However, we arrived a bit early for our appointment, the server told us to wait for 10-15 min for them to get a table ready since the customers at that table about to pay.We waited for more than 30 min outside, watching new customers came in and out. The server knew we were waiting outside at the door. Then we went inside just to see why they took new customers and saw there were multiple empty tables. It's quite weird when they have available tables and still let us wait outside. It took us a while to get the server attention at the door and also at dining.

The hand rolls were good and the drinks were great. We opted to pick our own rather than one of the combos so we could get whatever we wanted. They aren’t really made to share but we managed to split them.

Rolls are pretty big and delicious. The Hamachi kama was huge and so are the rolls.

This was our second time here. The service was amazing! We made a reservation just to be safe. The drinks were delicious and although we probably ordered more than we needed? we left feeling refreshed and amazing.

Great Handrolls and service, but the 4% surcharge seems deceptive. I wish we would do away with these junk fees and just increase prices accordingly.
I've come to this place for my birthday 2 years in a row. The food is DELICIOUS, and the cocktails are also great. Recommended to make a reservation beforehand because it's a smaller space, and often popular.

Chic and tasty, this place just does well curated hand rolls with cooked and veg options, appetizers, an inspired drink menu. It’s a little pricey for the efficiency of the business model, but the flavors and simplicity keep me coming back. They’re all good but I love the salmon Sesame seed and lemon is my fav.

Delicious hand rolls. May was so sweet and made amazing recommendations. Salmon belly one was top tier and I’ve been to Japan so I know a good hand roll! Other staff were amazing as well. Calm small restaurant vibes, walked in on a weekday afternoon, but dinners, parties bigger than 4 and weekend visits should nab a reservation just in case. Sake list looked really tasty too.

Came for a solo dinner and had the most decadent evening meal. My server (south Asian woman) was super attentive and friendly with good menu recommendations. From my order, the highlights were definitely the hamachi crudo, jellyfish, tako w aioli and the toro w caviar. Great quality seafood and toasty seaweed. Perfect with Asahi beer. I left full and happy. Beautiful sunlight in the dining room. Next time I want to try the uni and cocktails.

I made a reservation for Yonsei Handrolls at 6:30 PM. It's crucial to book in advance as getting a seat without a reservation is extremely difficult. The restaurant is located in an area that might be considered somewhat rundown, so it's important to park in a safe spot.
Upon arrival, I noticed that there were two servers working inside, which was great because they were quite attentive and responsive throughout our meal. The restaurant has a dark and cozy ambiance, which creates a unique dining atmosphere. The setup is simple yet effective, contributing to an intimate dining experience.
For our meal, we opted for the BALLER set, which offered a variety of rolls. We decided to swap out the uni due to its high cost—an additional $8 on top of the $57 set price. Instead, we chose two different rolls from the menu. Among the rolls we tried, the toro roll was the standout, offering a delicious and memorable taste.
Overall, Yonsei Handrolls met my expectations. The attentive service, unique ambiance, and quality of the food made for a satisfying dining experience. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend making a reservation and being mindful of parking in a safe area.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Food was outstanding as were drinks and service. Feels like a good value for the quantity of fish you get in each hand roll. Will absolutely be going back.
