Food is consistently good. The dry-fried beef river is full of wok flavor, and the bamboo noodles taste good.

The food is excellent in quality and preparation. They have some vegan options although not always clearly marked. I had the fried Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce and tofu. It was delicious and filling. Very affordable too. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant is super clean.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, some vegan options. Excellent food.

Delicious food, quick service, and great prices. I had the wonton soup with roast duck. The broth was rich and the wontons were some of the most fragrant I have ever had.

Came here to eat on our lunch break just to try the Roasted duck wonton soup. Perfect day to have it since it was raining and cold outside. Broth was delicious, tasted nice and clean, not like some places that taste oily. Was kind of busy but worth the little wait. Make sure to bring cash because they don't take card. Great little hole in the wall place. Will come here again

Apparently this place is an Oakland staple, and after trying it I can tell why. Yung Kee is a hole in the wall restaurant located in Oakland Chinatown and one of their must try's is the wonton soup with crispy duck . Everything about it was BOMB! The broth was rich and flavorful, the wontons were big and full, and the duck was melt in your mouth perfection with crispy crunchy skin that hit just right with every bite. Just keep in mind, this place IS cash only, but don't let that stop you from trying this delicious restaurant! A few things to note on a more serious note: it's street parking only so you'll most likely have to walk a little to get to this spot, but it's not so bad. And the reason why it's not 5 stars inspite of the amazing food? It felt like we got profiled. I went with my fiance and brother in law (both black) and my cousin and his wife (asian and white/latin). When my cousin went to order, they took his order and allowed him to sit back down. When my fiance ordered, they charged him right away (however, they didn't give him a receipt). He paid the gentleman that was working the front at the time. When we got up to leave, one of the female workers yelled for us to stop and that we needed to pay. And it wasn't until the guy we paid told her that she said "oh ok, have a good day". Bit of a downer to an otherwise delicious experience, but considering the over all experience I would still come back (unless this happened again).
