In my not so humble opinion, the greatest place to go, hang out and have some good food with some good folks in Oakley and surrounding area.

Went to this restaurant with my son wanting to try the kabob dishes. Reached there 30 mins before the closing time, but was told that we cannot dine in so decided to order take out. After ordering, my son sat down in a chair. There was a lady seemed like the main boss who came and told my son cannot sit there. My son is a special needs child, so he needed some place to sit and get settled as it was a bit noisy inside. Somehow this lady did not like my son’s mannerisms of discomfort and was treating us with discrimination and disrespect. I requested to cancel my order immediately and left the place with my son a bit traumatized. Shame on this place and shame on this lady. Please cultivate some humanity and humility when you deal with family, especially struggling the special needs children. Never again to this place how much ever good the food and ratings are, please be good human beings first

Says tavern but closes at 8:00, feels like pizza shop inside. We got there at 7:50 and we're rushed out the door and got salad only. Closes way too early for a "tavern," they need to rename it.

Dietary restrictions: My wife and I restrict our card intake. They serve a big salad and I like to add tandoori chicken, delicious!
Kid-friendliness: Although I do not have children, we always see families eating with children of all ages.
Wheelchair accessibility: I come here with my 87 years old mom. She is wheelchair bound and we like the easy access to the restaurant.
Spotlessly clean, quiet and relaxing. Decent draft beer selection on 10 taps. Salad fresh and tasty, kebab wrap wholesome and satisfying. Generous portions. Tried the pizza once, it did not disappoint. The previous owner played loud music that drove me crazy. Now it's so peaceful. Big screens in the bar and dining room. The on-street parking is rarely full, but if it is, the gravel lot across the street is big enough to park any vehicle that can fit on a road.

Came here at 6:59 to be told that no food was being served and we couldn’t sit down. The server was rude and had some problem. After we walked out the lady sat another table down and gave them menus while we watched from your glass front windows. We don’t know anyone in this town and only came for kabobs. This place isn’t kid or family friendly. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I be used to love Oakley Tavern, but came in today to find that all the interesting vegetarian options on the menu had been eliminated. I miss the paneer dishes and non-meat middle eastern stuff!
