We came up from the peninsula on our way to our boat in the Delta and stopped for breakfast at the Black Bear Restaurant in Oakley. The restaurant was in tip-top shape, well taken care of and managed, food was absolutely yummy, and Veronica had a smile on her face during our entire visit. She was just exceptional and spectacular! “This was our first time at this restaurant after being recommended. We thought we would order a couple of lunch plates so we could try a few things. Pork Chow Mein...Thinner noodles which are my favorite and that we can't find anywhere and very tasty. Sweet and Sour Pork which had flavorful crispy pork with the sauce poured over not drenched in sauce like other restaurants serve..which makes the pork mushy. Pork Fried Rice that was seasoned and fried with pieces of pork throughout. Hot Mongolian Beef with tender meat and sauce that was very good with a little bite of heat. Garlic Chicken made with tender moist boneless chicken thighs...which was so extremely good. Not greasy at all. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. Do not listen to reviews that say this tastes like microwaved food...so not true. We will definitely make a return trip and try other items from the menu. The only thing is that we would want to eat these items again as well! It's a quaint little restaurant with very friendly service..we would recommend!”

“Food sweet and sour chicken is good so is the lemon chicken. I get both from the lunch special menu. The price has gone up use to be about $7.00 now it's around $14. Would still come here before Panda Express”
