Betos presentation was thorough and elegant in delivery.
Daniel did a wonderful job of outreach to get me to come in. Grateful for the experience and education.
I have some wonderful information to share with my guests to encourage them to have the experience as well.
Thank you Opus One!🙏
It was a nasty rainy day and we didn't have any reservations for tastings. We were running late for a wedding, but a friend asked us if we could order him some Opus One since we were in Napa. We explained the situation to the people at the front and they were very accomidating. Walked us up to the main sampling room and showed us their available wines to purchase. We sampled a few different offerings and ordered 4 bottles. They shipped out within a few days and sent confirmation when it's sent. It arrived over night FEDEX. I am now the happy owner of some of the best wine I have ever tasted!
Just ok
They need more customers service
VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. My expectations for this winery was MORE THAN DISAPPOINTING. When agreeing to pay $160+ for a glass of wine, we would expect that comes with the unique experience that the winery offers but my experience was more like “ROBBED”. There was NO staff explaining about the wine or services. The view was awful with all the construction around. I was told that there would be a tour but most of entrances were blocked with the signs “only for the reserved” and there was no attending staff to show us around. Two glasses of wine ( barely 5 oz) with some crackers costing $140… it’s a DISHONEST BUSINESS. If I were told there were no experience but left alone with the little bit of THE EXPENSIVE DROPS of red, I would never tried this place. They make you pay FIRST AND BRING THE POOREST SERVICE WIRH THE WINE I HAD NO IDEA WHY THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE BECAUSE NO DESCRIPTION ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS. Almost FRAUD. I enjoy NAPA but this place ruined my love for the entire wine community. I want to warn the visitors as much as possible so people can have the service they pay for at other wonderful places.
Had a fantastic time at the Opus One Winery today as I love this wine to begin with, so I was really looking forward to the visit, and it did not disappoint. I'd also like to say that my host was awesome as well and really enhanced the experience! This is a must visit vinyard in Napa Valley.
Visiting Opus One Winery was truly an amazing experience. I was really impressed by the beauty of the place, but what stood out even more was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They created such a fun and relaxed atmosphere that made the whole visit even more special. I arrived earlier than my reservation time, but they kindly welcomed me and made everything smooth. The tasting itself was fantastic, and I left feeling both inspired and grateful. Definitely a highlight of my Napa trip
Hard pass. Opus was pretentious, corporate, and service-less. The wine was good, but frankly there's plenty of great wine in Napa that comes along with a warmth and beauty that his place completely lacks.
A visit to Opus One Winery was nothing short of phenomenal. The winery itself is already an incredible sight from an architectural embrace of the land, vines and wines. The deluxe tasting gives a glimpse of the remarkable art collection, vineyard and cellar tours as well as balcony set mountain views. The standard tasting provides very generous pours of Opus One and Overture. Undoubtedly the wines are bold exceptionally delicious and of the highest quality. We had the chance to taste fantastic 2019, 2021 Opus One, 2021 Overture and a pours of 2014 and 2015 vintages. Our somellieur had a real good sense of humor and provided a lasting impression. We thought that a light food pairing would just put it over the top. Thank you for the remarkable greeting and tour. We can't wait to open up our current 2021's.
Even though the main entrance of the winery is going through some upgrades, it was a great experience. Corey was so helpful and made the experience 10 times better. Can’t wait to come back when the enhancements to the winery are completed.
I found a pervasive, elitist, non-welcoming attitude which left a bitter taste in my mouth. I now have NO desire to serve their wines. Others might embrace this attitude. My experience will always be paired with their name.
My rating applies to their attitude, not their wine itself. I hope others enjoy their experience.

Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and professional. Maxwell was our specialist. He was delightful throughout the experience.
The grounds were beautiful and the tasting areas very elegant. Beautiful architecture. The wine is simply outstanding, what else can you say! The appetizers were paired very well which just enhanced the experience. Truly one of the best wineries in Napa. Highly recommend.
Very disappointing Wine Tasting Experience at Opus One!
My recent visit to Opus One was unfortunately the worst wine tasting experience I’ve had in Napa Valley. From the moment we arrived, the concierge set the wrong tone with a level of rudeness and disrespect that was truly surprising—definitely not what one would expect from a winery of this reputation.
The tasting itself was poorly managed, with a single host - Brandon, stretched thin trying to serve five tables at once. As a result, our experience felt rushed and impersonal. We received almost no information about the winery or the wines themselves, simply because the host did not have sufficient time for any table.
Frankly, the team at Opus One could benefit greatly from training at places like Far Niente or Cade, where guest service is a priority and every visitor feels valued. Even the best wine is hard to enjoy in such an atmosphere. The presence of numerous loud Chinese YouTubers filming themselves throughout the space only added to the chaotic and commercialized feeling.
On a positive note, the winery’s architecture and interiors are modern and visually impressive. However, the overall experience, especially the quality of service, left a lot to be desired. I cannot recommend Opus One for wine tasting, especially given how many other Napa Valley wineries offer truly memorable and welcoming guest experiences.
Great experience.
History of the winery and Tasting together.
Enjoyed so much.
7/31/25 incredible tasting experience with tasting manager Caleb Dial. We were greeted with champagne upon our arrival. We were then escorted to the top floor tasting floor which overlooked the winery. Our tasting included 3 vintages of Opus One, years 2015, 2019, and 2021. Some of the best wines in Napa, very delicate and nuanced . We were served a delicious pairing of canapés to compliment the wine. Caleb escorted us around the property room through the tank farm, barrel room and the balcony.
It is an experience that lives beyond the vineyards. The experience will continue to transport you back... time and time again long after your very first sip. Hats off to the amazing team at Opus that collectively creates a sense of total delight. Thank you for igniting all the senses, the extra enjoyment of family and friendship, the memories of yesterday and those created on the day, and for reminding us that a labor of love transcends the moment in time. A special thank you to Jorge Adame for your exceptional ability to connect and make our visit memorable, Salud!
