I honestly expected this to be a corporate, soulless, overpriced tasting but I had a pretty good time here.

The building itself is beautiful, even though we only saw the inside given the construction. The tasting room is very posh and comfortable.

Our host was great. Didn’t catch his name but we had a great discussion about wine and he was very kind and accommodating. Not pretentious or snobby at all like I was expecting.

That being said, this wine is very expensive and I probably would not recommend this tasting for someone who isn’t a wine enthusiast. My wife is less of a wine nerd than me and she wasn’t a fan of the aged Opus One. We tried a 2012, and while I thought it was great my wife did not like the earthy tertiary flavors. We heard similar sentiment from another couple we talked to, they said “It smelled funny.”

It’s not the most crowd-pleasing or affordable wine in Napa, but a visit here is a treat for wine enthusiasts.

2018 was phenomenal! Had a wonderful time on the tour and also bought some large format bottles for the cellar. Much love Opus One Winery and cheers! 🍷

Disappointing experience. Would not recommend. The level of pretentiousness is insane as we are frequent visitors to Napa and members of several elite vineyards. Glad we've skipped it for years and will never go back. Wine was ok but there is much better quality wine without the attitude.

Betos presentation was thorough and elegant in delivery.

Daniel did a wonderful job of outreach to get me to come in. Grateful for the experience and education.

I have some wonderful information to share with my guests to encourage them to have the experience as well.

Thank you Opus One!🙏

It was a nasty rainy day and we didn't have any reservations for tastings. We were running late for a wedding, but a friend asked us if we could order him some Opus One since we were in Napa. We explained the situation to the people at the front and they were very accomidating. Walked us up to the main sampling room and showed us their available wines to purchase. We sampled a few different offerings and ordered 4 bottles. They shipped out within a few days and sent confirmation when it's sent. It arrived over night FEDEX. I am now the happy owner of some of the best wine I have ever tasted!

VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. My expectations for this winery was MORE THAN DISAPPOINTING. When agreeing to pay $160+ for a glass of wine, we would expect that comes with the unique experience that the winery offers but my experience was more like “ROBBED”. There was NO staff explaining about the wine or services. The view was awful with all the construction around. I was told that there would be a tour but most of entrances were blocked with the signs “only for the reserved” and there was no attending staff to show us around. Two glasses of wine ( barely 5 oz) with some crackers costing $140… it’s a DISHONEST BUSINESS. If I were told there were no experience but left alone with the little bit of THE EXPENSIVE DROPS of red, I would never tried this place. They make you pay FIRST AND BRING THE POOREST SERVICE WIRH THE WINE I HAD NO IDEA WHY THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE BECAUSE NO DESCRIPTION ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS. Almost FRAUD. I enjoy NAPA but this place ruined my love for the entire wine community. I want to warn the visitors as much as possible so people can have the service they pay for at other wonderful places.

Had a fantastic time at the Opus One Winery today as I love this wine to begin with, so I was really looking forward to the visit, and it did not disappoint. I'd also like to say that my host was awesome as well and really enhanced the experience! This is a must visit vinyard in Napa Valley.

Visiting Opus One Winery was truly an amazing experience. I was really impressed by the beauty of the place, but what stood out even more was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They created such a fun and relaxed atmosphere that made the whole visit even more special. I arrived earlier than my reservation time, but they kindly welcomed me and made everything smooth. The tasting itself was fantastic, and I left feeling both inspired and grateful. Definitely a highlight of my Napa trip

Hard pass. Opus was pretentious, corporate, and service-less. The wine was good, but frankly there's plenty of great wine in Napa that comes along with a warmth and beauty that his place completely lacks.

A visit to Opus One Winery was nothing short of phenomenal. The winery itself is already an incredible sight from an architectural embrace of the land, vines and wines. The deluxe tasting gives a glimpse of the remarkable art collection, vineyard and cellar tours as well as balcony set mountain views. The standard tasting provides very generous pours of Opus One and Overture. Undoubtedly the wines are bold exceptionally delicious and of the highest quality. We had the chance to taste fantastic 2019, 2021 Opus One, 2021 Overture and a pours of 2014 and 2015 vintages. Our somellieur had a real good sense of humor and provided a lasting impression. We thought that a light food pairing would just put it over the top. Thank you for the remarkable greeting and tour. We can't wait to open up our current 2021's.

Even though the main entrance of the winery is going through some upgrades, it was a great experience. Corey was so helpful and made the experience 10 times better. Can’t wait to come back when the enhancements to the winery are completed.

I found a pervasive, elitist, non-welcoming attitude which left a bitter taste in my mouth. I now have NO desire to serve their wines. Others might embrace this attitude. My experience will always be paired with their name.

My rating applies to their attitude, not their wine itself. I hope others enjoy their experience.
