If you only have to do one tasting in Napa Valley, I think this would be the best.First of all, only people who have made reservations are checked at the gate before entering, so it is quieter than other wineries. The wine is delicious and the atmosphere is nice.

If you understand your grape and the hard work that goes into producing one of the world's best wines, then this is a must visit. Reservations required. The estate is so impressive. As a tradesman in the industry, I must say this was the most captivating visit out of all. The staff are extremely welcoming. The beauty and nostalgia of Opus are worthy of a tear of joy. Caleb was a super host. Brain is most fitting for this vineyard. This was a top 3 experience in my life (I have been blessed with many great experiences). I am forever grateful for their hospitality, knowledge, and profound love for what they do. We personally enjoyed the 18' vintage and are extremely excited to re visit when the 23' is released. It truly will be the vintage of our lifetime. Again, many, many thanks to the entire staff at Opus. This was a magical experience ? ?⚖️? Grazie Opus One

Very underwhelming experience and not worth the price. Beautiful property though.

Pristine property and incredible time. Caleb was our guide, and I can’t stress enough how terrific he was. He gave us as much of his time as we needed, giving us space at times to sit and sip, available for us for whatever questions we had and for great personalized conversation from the beginning to the end. His depth of experience and expertise were demonstrated from start to finish. Our highest regards to him and strong recommendation to others.

A single wine blend leveraged by the generational wealth of two men that had more money than they knew what to do with. Everything at the facility is state of the art and top of the line, decorated with priceless historical artifacts. None of this makes the wine taste any better than a Bordeaux I had in Calgary last year. This brand survives on the hype and inaccessibility to the general people. Not worth it. Don’t fall for it.

wonderful!

Ridiculous! I get that your appointments are full up but have a space where people can come in a taste a sip before being sat on a bench with a menu for carry out. The level of pretentiousness was off the charts here. Get it together.

The Mondavi/Chateau Mouton Rotschild partnership in Napa Valley has produced a rare, expensive, delicious, liquid jewel: Opus One. What else to expect from this duo?

When I went, the grapes weren't ripe yet, but I was very satisfied with the profound feeling. There were Japanese guides, so if you don't speak English, you should make a request to enjoy the tour more.It was a quick and fun two hours.Next time I'll come before the harvest in August or September.

The most opulent winery that I’ve ever been in, it’s kinda like going to Vegas. Everybody has to go to Opus1 winery one time, it’s worth every penny.Joe MercurioColumbus, Ohio

Opus one was definitely my favorite spot for wine tasting in Napa Valley. Service was outstanding and everyone was super nice. Loved every second of it.

After reading the reviews online I can see both sides while others feel enamored by the stunning building and high quality wine, you can get a sense of 'being abandoned' at the wine tour. We booked the courtyard experience. It was raining so we sat inside in a hall full of other people. There are 2-3 staff that go around and explain the wine and give you a tour downstairs. We weren't being approached for a while. I had to ask for breadsticks and we stared at the wine until Betu (Sorry if I mispronounced!) approached us and made us feel welcomed. Our wines were already set wine set. Pros: Stunning place, intentional wine, friendly staff. Cons: Not as an interactive wine tasting as others. The set up of the 'wine tasting' feels less than premium with the price tag you pay for the tasting. If you want a more fun interactive tasting I would skip this one. But if like high quality wine, this one is a good place to go for.
