What a place to spend an afternoon. Outside under the aged wisteria vines and views of mountains, it creates an amazing backdrop to enjoy some of the best grapes the valley has to offer. Incredible ??

We visited Turnbull Wine Cellars and were greeted by Gabe. His hospitality went above and beyond, and we all agreed that the wine he served us (Cabernet Sauvignon) was the best we had all day.

This is such a hidden jewel of Napa! After visiting several vineyards, we ended our trip with a tasting here. The wine was delicious, the staff was knowledgeable and welcoming and the grounds were relaxed and inviting. By far, this was our best experience and best wine!! Could not have asked for a better experience!

We came here after recommendations from friends. Our server was Robinson who is extremely knowledgeable about the industry. They have an amazing collection of photos throughout to view too and one of the best views we've had for our tasting in general!

EDIT: Updating my review because I had the most frustrating experience visiting here last weekend. I'm a member and have visited many times in the past with others, sometimes with kids in our group. Not only were kids welcomed in the past, but the staff used to be so nice and offered crayons and coloring books to keep them happy.Apparently, sometime in 2023, there was a policy change that no one under 21 is allowed on the grounds whatsoever. This was NOT announced or posted anywhere on their website (there is a small disclaimer line when booking a tasting that it is a 21+ experience, but that is obvious because it's alcohol). We arrived with some friends who brought their 3 year old toddler along, and were told that the toddler was not allowed on the premises. The staff member checking us in basically said "too bad, should've read the website". There was no sense of problem solving or finding a middle ground on the situation after our friends drove almost 2 hours from San Francisco to visit this winery that we had been raving about. I was embarrassed to be a member here.Eventually we just got seated and one parent just waited in the car with the toddler, while the other 3 adults quickly finished through a tasting and picking up our allocation. The entire time they were waiting in the car, the front property had a full-on children's party with a bounce house in the yard. All while this toddler was forced to wait in the car. Also of note is that the entire time we did the tasting, not a single other party was in the main tasting room so the toddler quietly sitting with us would not have been a disruption. There were also private member rooms that were completely empty this entire time. The complete lack of accommodation was frustrating. We went to Hall Wines right after this, and had a great time there. My friends ended up becoming members. I'm so glad the trip to Napa ended on a high note for them.

Racist or ignorant? We were at the winery with some friends this past Saturday afternoon and an older male staff member was helping us with our tasting. He started the introduction with letting us know that he received only 1% of any sales he made and any other gestures of appreciation would be appreciated. We thought that was an odd way to introduce himself but then didn't think much of it. Then, half way through the tasting, he sat down with us and said "I'm just going to join you." We didn't want to be rude so we smiled and was very polite about it. But then he proceeded to ask my husband where he is from. My husband told the staff member that he was from the Bay Area. The staff member was not satisfied with that answer and asked where his parents and grandparents were from. Finally my husband said that his parents immigrated from Korea. Please note, my husband was born in this country, has no accent, and probably speaks better English than most. This staff member then proceeded to talk to us about how he felt about kimchi and other Korean dishes. I don't have the time or energy to write all the silently racist comments that was made but it ruined our experience. In this day and age, to be asked "where are you really from," to be interrupted of your time with your friends so this staff member could say these racist remarks, is all appalling. Is this the type of establishment Turnbull is? Are guest who are white asked "where are you really from?" Or is that reserved for POCs?

This is definitely a place we hope to return to. The wine was all so delightful as was our server. He was friendly and funny and allowed us to do a blind tasting which was super fun. The location and ambiance were everything you could want when sipping on some Napa vino. Highly recommend making a reservation!
