I looooove paella, but so few places serve it and fewer make it well. On a short getaway, we found a farmer's market in Occidental. Gerard's Paella had a booth. When we walked by the first time the Paella was cooking in the giant pans. Later we returned and ordered the chicken and shrimp Paella. We were served a generous bowl of goodness. Gerard’s catered my uncle’s celebration of life and the food was outstanding. It was the best paella I’d ever eaten (I should’ve taken a picture of it cooking and I forgot to take a picture of it plated because I was too busy munching and thinking “Damn, that’s good!”) and plan to use them in the future.
