Upper site, (#174) was not close to level. Ended up using 20 stacker plates for the stabilizers and 8 more for the tires. The 2 step on-line check in was cumbersome and didn't work for me. I still went to the office to make sure they got everything. For a holiday weekend, I was impressed with the amount of support staff that was available. Probably should have had an extra garbage pickup during the weekend, as all the contrainers were overflowing.
Way too far from the beach. Too many cars around RV sites. Everything was under construction. We still had fun. The courtyard wasn’t open. No horseback riding. No shower pressure. Nice people tho. Nice neighbors. Expensive for no amenities.
Well, we reserved the Pacific Dunes to be close to the beach and a golf course my daughter was competing at. We're new to RVing and this will be our 4th location we've stayed at so far. We have visited many more. The good part is the RV park is near the dunes which was incredible. However, I thought the price was too high for being in the lower level with absolutely no view of anything, no bathroom, and no laundry. Lots of choices around the Pismo/SLO area. Not sure if we'll be back. The staff was nice.
Good stay. Rules were not observed by others. Atvs driving through the park at night, no store or anything. No horses to ride. One worker complained to us about a water drip coming from water hookup. Too much rocks in rv spots.
We had the best time staying at one of the little cabins. It was cute, comfortable and clean. Close to beach and dunes. Beautiful views too! Had almost everything we needed, but a few things I wish I brought: cutting board, tinfoil and maybe foam padding for bunk mattresses, they were great for kids but not so much for adults
The site itself was busy and very crowded, with an overall smell of sewage floating over most of the site as we walked around. The pitch itself was fine, if a bit smaller than what we have seen elsewhere (although this is our first RV trip so this may be a standard type of size for most). Main facilities were closed because they were under renovation, and I hope they do the other toilet blocks as the one we went to was very dirty. Cigarette butts were left on the plastic lawn chair in the shower and there was a genera layer of grime. We did not really want to use the showers so we showered at a hotel nearby that another member of our group was staying at. Also only one toilet and one shower in each of the ladies and the gents, so gets very busy too.
Not the best. Nothing to do at this RV park. Very dusty. Had to pay for WiFi which we have never had to do in our travels before. There is no grassy areas, only dirt. Mostly full time tenants. Laundry facilities did not work well.
We stayed at a full hook-up RV site in our rented RV. This place was a nice and quiet, tucked away spot at the edge of the dunes. Not meaning to say that you had to be quiet 24/7. During the day there were families, large groups, kids, pets, people biking & walking, etc. – all the usual activities at a typical campground. Management seemed to be constantly present, but they were pretty hands-off and didn’t really bother you for anything. Everyone seemed pretty friendly and respectful of everyone else’s property, as everyone had all their toys and gear “strewn” about their campsite, but no one worried about their things getting stolen. This was reassuring and made you feel comfortable and at ease. Thank you, Pacific Dunes Ranch staff, for a pleasant stay. See you next time!
Great location next to Dunes nice friendly Owners - amenities were clean and not over crowded although the campsite was pretty full. - currently the office area is being renovated but they have an office in one of the bungalows
Beautiful location, the amenities we went for were not available (arcade and horseback riding) Sites and park were well maintained. Online checking was for nothing as when we arrived we were assigned and entirely different location. Really wish we would have been told that horseback rides were not available. Would have stayed elsewhere
