The Jagerschnitzel with hunter gravy is outstanding! The beer is outstanding! The service is outstanding! My friends and I have been going there since it was Irena's. The new ownership has maintained the same quality of excellence. Possibly even better.

I've been coming to this location for many years and really enjoyed the experience when it was Irina's. I stopped in to check out how it is now that it's Angelina's and I was absolutely shocked. I can't imagine how it will be successful going forward. The menu has been heavily consolidated with just a couple carry-over items from the old one. Not a problem as long as the food is good. Unfortunately, it's terrible and you could say that the food in no way resembles what is listed on the menu. The burger is absolutely tiny, overcooked, and dry. Sandwiches are made with such low quality ingredients they are just gross. The beer is flat and the draft lines are not being cleaned so the beer tastes like mop bucket water. The service is completely disconnected and new owners are off having conversations rather than paying attention to customers. Beyond all this, they jacked up the prices by 20-30%! Now I see why all the regulars that used to come here after work have gone somewhere else. When I shared the feedback with the owners they just argued back, not taking anything constructive from it.

We came here looking for Irina's Bar & Grill and found Angelina's Bar & Grill instead. I quickly pull out my phone to check yelp for reviews. There were only 4, and mostly 5 stars with one being 4 stars. One of the reviews said they kept some of the German dishes. So we decided to give it a try. Apparently Angelina took over after the Irina retired this past summer. The new owner's kept the Jagersnitzel plate and the Bratwurst & Sauerkraut plates. The waitress said they were working on bringing back the meatballs and the Spaetzle back onto the menu. I certainty saw a lot of orders for the Jagersnitzel and mashed potatoes covered in gravy being brought out to different parties. Seeing this helped me to decide to give it a try also. So I ordered the Jagersnitzel and my husband ordered the Bratwurst. The Jagersnitzel was defiantly impressive in size, however the gravy was a disappointment. It did not taste at all like Irinas'. It wasn't awful, it just tasted like a package brown gravy mix. From what I read in a previous review, they were suppose to be Irina's recipes. The mashed potatoes were real and tasted fine. My husband had the Bratwurst and Sauerkraut. His Bratwurst was good and but the Sauerkraut was was just so-so. He said it didn't really taste like Sauerkraut. Granted the new owners are not of a German background. Maybe that is why it doesn't taste like Irinas'. I give them an A for effort, and a C actually. We had Iced Tea for our Beverage. It was freshly brewed and tasted great. They have a wide assortment of beers both American and German on tap and bottled. I think if we were to come back, I would try something else on the menu. I am probably very spoiled with Irinas's Jagersnitzel which was amazing and to die for, and the reason why, is the gravy. It makes a difference. The staff was friendly and attentive. No complaints with their customer care. We were checked on and our Iced teas were filled regularly. I would also say the cost fall's into moderately pricey range. With our iced teas and 2 dinner salads and main coarse's, the bill came to a little over $60.00. Not inexpensive but not too terribly costly. Otherwise the resturant & bar look the same. They have 2 pool tables and several TV's for watching sports. This is not a bad resturant, but I am disappointed with their German inspired food. Just isn't the same. That is why I gave it 3 stars.
