I tried the Hobie - salami, pastrami, provolone, Italian dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, pickles. It was delicious, fresh, & had a good amount of meat. We went in around 8 pm on a Sunday night to grab a quick bite to go. We ordered & waited about 25 minutes for the sandwich on what looked like a slow-ish night. The young lady at the register was super sweet & apologized for the wait. The dude working there kept staring at us while we were waiting & then asked if we were good; I said yes, we were waiting on a sandwich & he didn’t respond. Lots of dudes vaping at the counter. Good food but the atmosphere is off. Maybe we came in on an off night. I would order to go again because the sandwich was so good but we wouldn’t dine in.

I’m a local - I used to love your sandwiches and salads. Not anymore. I left hungry. Your paper thin lunch meat is a joke. I couldn’t believe what little meat I got on my Cobb salad. Arby’s putts more meat on their sandwiches than you guys! I mean come on guys ! It’s bad enough I have to pay to park to eat there. Pay a tourist tax - public safety tax- which is to your benefit being you are a business at the beach. Your place isn’t a place a local wants to go to anymore. I will go to Boards and Brew. They are nice like you guys , they have beer like you guys - but sumthin they have which ya all don’t- meat portions! I won’t be back . ✌🏼 One Love

Beach Hut Deli is hands down one of the best sandwich spots in Oceanside. The quality is consistent, portions are solid, and everything tastes fresh every single time. The sandwiches are loaded, the bread is on point, and the flavor combos actually hit. Staff is always friendly and fast, and the chill vibe makes it even better. Perfect spot after the gym or a beach day. Easily a go to if you want a real sandwich that delivers. Honestly will probably be my favorite spot out for a long time.

The food is good here but the atmosphere is ruined by marines. On the weekends, this place somehow became the rec center off base and every table is filled with drunk marines always with Bluetooth speakers and always smoking. They’re always loud and usually obnoxious. Won’t catch me doing anything but takeout orders from here.

Found this place on another site and decided to try it for dinner. I had the Hobie, my wife had the Malibu, and my daughter has the Marley nachos. Needles to say, we all walked away with some leftovers. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Purchased the Santa Barbara sandwich, which is supposed to come with bacon as the only meat. After walking back to my hotel room, I realized there was no bacon on the sandwich at all. The place wasn’t busy, and while service was quick, it was surprising they missed the main ingredient. Probably the reason for the quick service.
Recommendation: if you visit this establishment, double-check your order before leaving. The ingredients were fresh, but the sandwich was missing the key part.
Love this place! My son is a lifeguard down at the beach. He went straight from camping to work and didn't have lunch. I ordered him a sandwich and they took the time to deliver to the lifeguard tower. That is service! I appreciate them saving mom a trip on a busy beach day. Excellent employees and sandwiches!

My girlfriend & her daughter stood at the counter for a lengthy amount of time & then when a young brunette finally approached them.... like they were bothering her.... she tried to apologize. The manager made the excuse that was about to get off..... No excuse
