Big Bob's Best Pizza

Hot patootie bless my soul, Big Bob’s Best Pizza really lived up to all the great reviews. Easy to order, interior is nice and clean, quiet atmosphere, and four sizes of pizza to select from. Mom and I shared a medium pizza of eight slices with plenty left to take home after we enjoy Dwight Yoakum and The Mavericks at Frontwave Arena just 0.4 miles around the block. If you’re going to an event at Frontwave and don’t want to pay the high prices on the inside, stop by Big Bob’s and grab a slice or a whole pie. There are some combination deals up until 4:00 pm if you’re dining alone.

We enjoyed the peacefulness of the round metal table just outside the door. There are four chairs, one of which I moved aside for mom’s wheelchair. It was clean and inviting. The sun was behind the building at this hour so we had the shade on a warm day and were enjoying the comfort and ambiance of the place. We relaxed until it was time to head over to Frontwave Arena, where parking lot opens at 5:00 and doors open at 6:00 for the 7:00 show. Big Bob’s offered us a place to enjoy each other’s company as we tried to keep a handle on our excitement for the show. A perfect blend of great food, excellent customer service, relaxation instead of rushing around, and leaving Bob’s with it in mind to do this again. Trust me, if nothing else, come for the pizza!

Just had their lunch special for the first time today. 6 bucks for drink and a slice. Was thinking that price was a little high until I got the slicet. Weighs as much as a full pizza from other places. Pretty sure it's all in the cheese. Took 5 minutes to get the slice out of the oven, which was worth the wait. Don't rush it or the cheese won't all be melted. Spoke to Big Bob while waiting. He was the one in the kitchen Manning the oven. Got to love a restaurant where the owner is in the kitchen. Just moved our office close by. Definitely will be back on a frequent basis! Please note, this type of pizza isn't for everyone. It's not a foodie pizza with balsamic drizzled on top and a few leaves of arugula. This is original, thick and greasy pizza. Good stuff.

I can't believe I passed this place up for so long!! Your dough and especially your sauce is SO DELICIOUS! My pizza was TOTALLY YUMMY! I will DEFINATELY be back.

Big Bob’s Best Pizza is amazing! We tried the Waikiki, and it was absolutely loaded with pineapple—the perfect match for the incredible ham and bacon flavors. If you love pineapple on pizza, this one’s a must-try! The Holy Smokes was another winner, with spicy sausage, jalapeños, and pepperoni creating the perfect heat—definitely ordering it again. The Lone Star was delicious too, with sweet BBQ, chicken, and onions covered in cheese. Every slice was devoured!

My wife often comes for lunch and loves their single slices, since they’re cooked individually for a crispier crust. everything was fantastic, and we’ll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem! Great pizza and they serve by the slice or whole pizzas. The pizza is very good! Would recommend to anyone.

Big Bob’s Best Pizza lives up to their name: the pizza is fantastic. We moved to Oceanside 6 years ago and have been searching for a really good pizza. We tried many but ended up being disappointed. No so with Big Bob’s !!!
Our favorite is The Works. We ask them to not include onions or peppers and they even allowed us to select additional toppings in their place at no extra charge. Very nice friendly staff.
We have always picked up our pizza and eaten at home but there is adequate room to dine in.
Try them. You’ll like ‘em. They are the Best!

Bob's pizza is so good, we've been fans for years. The sauce is like no other. Bob, keep doing what you're doing. We get the family deal for 26.00. Large 2 topping pizza and large house salad.

With so many places to choose from these days. Extra charges for ranch and plates are pathetic. Weekdays are better as the food quality is better than the weekend.

We have ordered several pizzas from here. We have an allergy to bell peppers and tell them every time to not put them on the pizza and more than half the time they don’t follow instructions and add them. Today was not exception and the pie was not cut well. I had to recut it myself. No more from this place

This pizza place is small for inside seating. Pizza is good. I do appreciate that they verify the pizza ordered is what you pick up by showing you the pizza before handing it over.
