The loco moco is great. Breakfast burrito pretty good but has a sweetness in one of the ingredients that threw me off. The English muffin breakfast sandwich is a size that should cost $2 max.
Their menu has a handwritten note that their prices can change at any time from what menu shows, they charge 3% if you don’t pay cash. They use the common tactic of compliment or question about your day when it’s tip screen time.
Some business took the “I appreciate you” era during Covid to heart and are taking as much as people will put up with paying. Soon napkins and utensils will have a surcharge.
I consider all this a cost of eating with a beach view and the only reason I may return once a year.

I have been on the hunt for the best breakfast burrito in Oceanside/ Carlsbad, and definitely found it here! The Cali burrito and bacon, egg, and cheese were top tier. The atmosphere is perfect bc you’re right on the water basically. Iced lattes were great too! Check this place out!

On vacation staying at an Airbnb in Oceanside California. Went to Buccaneers for breakfast burritos to take back delicious. Bacon and egg and sausage and egg. It's a small shack off the road with a lot of people ordering, picking up and eating. And boy was it delicious. Big burritos could have split one but enjoyed it the next day for lunch 😋. There were 5 of us and everyone loved them,!

I have eaten a lot of breakfast burritos in my life. Many are the same and while satisfying, nothing to write home about. Near my place of work (not in the area) there is a locally famous amazing breakfast burrito that is unlike any other. Well, The Buccaneer cafe’s California Breakfast Burrito has dethroned the other burrito! The eggs are fluffy, the carne asada is tender, the fries are well seasoned, and the guac is a fresh accompaniment to the other rich components of the burrito. The Açaí bowls and coffee are also very good but it’s the California Breakfast Burrito I’ll be thinking of until I’m back in the area. Highly recommend!!!
Service is very friendly and fast considering how busy they are.

Fun, small roadside stand. Food was great. Definitely a popular place as there was a line to order the entire time we were there. They have GF/DF options for those with allergies. Had the avocado toast with egg. Super good!

Don’t come at night, lots of characters and homeless people.
Located between two bathrooms and smells like it.
Lock car doors.
Beach is small and you can hardly walk to the ocean with the giants boulders covering the beach.

If I could give zero stars I would, which is so unfortunate because we used to love this place and legit drove all the way from Carlsbad today to eat here!
Rounded up my family of 5 to enjoy a beach front breakfast and headed over! Got it line while waiting for a table and was able to pop my stuff on one then hop back to the cashier to order. Was rudely cutoff by the woman behind me, and the scolded by the young blonde girl working there. You never know what someone’s morning/day consisted of already and I was ready to get some food ordered for my little family.
She basically made me feel like I was wrong/rude/mean/a piece of garbage for correcting her that I was still in line. I have never before been reprimanded at a restaurant or made to feel so lowly!
I told her what happened and yet she continued to tell me that I should apologize. Funny, I was smiley and happy to be there and left with a crying 3 year old and upset.
They changed the layout out front so seating is now more limited. It’s going to be a long time before we come back, if ever!
Just because you are the only place around, doesn’t mean people won’t choose to go other places. So off we go somewhere else to have a $100 breakfast!
