Service and atmosphere are a 10/10. However, my iced latte was the worst iced latte I've ever had. The immediate flavor was acidic and burnt... I hope this was a mistake and no one else experiences this! I'll just stick to the tie-dye bagels next time.

Captains is the best local coffee spot around. It's kid friendly and in a walkable location. Close to the beach so we can swing by and get a view of the water after grabbing our coffee and morning snack. The vibe and service are great and it's really affordable. If you bring a cup with you, coffee is only a dollar.

Definitely an easy location to order from! The staff is friendly too! Waits never seem too long to make an order and even waiting for food/drinks is only a few minutes. They have plenty of different coffee options and a decent amount of food options. I absolutely love the Mexican mocha, either iced or hot! Their blended chais are also other delicious options. There is a decent amount of seating outside and the same parking situation as revolution roasters. Street parking is the easiest option.

Great coffee! Great ambience! Great staff! I have tried their neighbor and it was "meh" at best. I highly recommend Captain's! I am in Oceanside 5-6 times a year and I highly recommend!

Just got coffee from this place and the vanilla latte tastes nothing like vanilla. It looks like they were out of it because the guy had to open the bottle to pour it. Coffee tastes like it’s burnt. Also, not the greatest attitude, the people who work here must hate their job. I read some other reviews on how bad their attitude is and Im not surprised. Go to the coffee shop next door.

Update: Glad to hear that they finally opened up their restroom to their customers! Unfortunately, their customer service seems to be even worse than when I originally wrote the review. Good coffee isn't enough to overcome the bad taste left by poor customer service. Calling feedback "dumb" (and comments left on other reviews) doesn't really help your case and shows that nothing is going to change under this ownership. There are plenty of other top-notch coffee shops nearby; don't waste your time here! Enjoy Oceanside somewhere brighter :) ☀️Great coffee, but sends customers to the coffee shop next door to use their restroom? Seems like poor taste to me.
