In general great food. A little wanting on the service. I ordered through Doordash and was a disappointed when I wanted to customize my order by saying I didn't want rice. Apparently this restaurant doesn't allow custom orders, so I couldn't make the request. Their loss, since it's only saving them money that I don't want rice. I proceeded to order an app and two entrees that would typically come with rice, which showed up with only one side of rice. So not only could I not make a custom order, but if I wanted rice which I imagine the vast majority do, I would've only gotten one order to split between two meals. Seems pretty over the top frugal when I'm paying $80+ for a couple Chinese dinners and wontons. The scallops were overcooked and tasted like chicken.

Excellent food with a wide variety of choices. I love it when you can choose the heat level of your selection

Good food and hasn't gone up too much in price compared with other places. In restaurant you get tea and friendly service.

I’ve been coming here since 2015. This was thee favorite place to go for Chinese food!!! I always sent people here. I feel like something major has changed. The flavor is not what it used to be at all. It’s not fresh at all. The chicken wings lack flavor and freshness and they used to be finger licking good. I’m not sure what happened but please please please bring it back ?

Love Chins for many reasons. Kind staff, delicious food, and locally owned. I love all the huge portions of food and always have leftovers. Recommend to all

The food was delicious! However, the lady that is the greeter/hostess, is the most rudest individual and should not work in customer service. We came in last Wednesday night and she sat us at a booth. She basically just threw the menus on the table, and never acknowledge your presence or said, thank you for coming in. Enjoy your meal nothing. I however, thank her and she didn't even respond. We enjoyed your delicious meal, and when we were leaving, she never once acknowledged us nor said thank you for coming in. Have a great evening. She was working at the front looking through some receipts. perhaps she's better off working in the back putting together to go orders. I felt rushed during the entire dinner. I understand we came in 40 minutes before the restaurant close, but still you should always greet your guest.

This has always been our go-to place, hopefully, this was just an off day. Waited for over an hour for our food to come to the table and it never happened?? 5 other groups came in after us and were served. We had ordered House Special Lo Mein and Sweet and Sour pork nothing challenging to get to the table. The appetizers were good not as hot as I would have liked. The sweet and sour soup was flavorless. At the 1 hour and 15 minute mark was tired of waiting, paid $20 for the appetizers, and left.

Ordered takeout- Ku Ting crispy. The sauce was good, but the whole batch was beyond crispy. It was extremely overcooked. It certainly had the texture of jerk chicken and the meat was tough and rubbery. It did not taste like freshly cooked food. It has the texture of frozen food, overcooked and kept under a heat lamp. What wasn't rubbery was soggy. The rice was nowhere near what I'd hoped for. Overcooked slightly. It was decent enough for takeout Chinese food, but not at these entree prices. The hot and sour soup was bland and had very little taste at all.Portion sizes were astronomical. I expect they are losing quite a bit of money and plenty of takeout boxes from those dining in.Recommend- Fresh ingredients cooked to order. Chicken and breading show obvious signs of careless cooking. Soak rice before cooking. Add a dash more rice vinegar to the soup and some white pepper.

I've had Chins just a few times before at the Vista location - which I always thought was just okay. Recently, I've been eating at this one instead and I can't believe I didn't go here sooner. I've only gotten take out but every time I am extremely satisfied with all of the chicken dishes as well as the noodles and fried rice. The Cashew chicken spicy level 3 is my go to favorite - the vegetables taste fresh and crisp and the chicken meat is absent of any gross gristle or fat. I feel like their portions are pretty generous as well, and they always provide any extra sides of chili oil - which is so nice. My definite go to for Chinese food now!

This is our go to for szechwan food. Food is amazing. You can tell great care goes into the preparation.Service is wonderful. I would recommend it to everyone. And now since they are moving to San Marcos, you should go before they close.
