Love this place! Staff is warm and friendly. Maple breakfast sandwich and maple latte was a yummy way to start my day. Lovely atmosphere with outdoor seating and lots of natural lighting.

Loved our coffee at Communal in Oceanside! The ambiance is amazing, such a calming vibe. Great for working on your laptop, reading, or getting together with friends. We enjoyed the strawberry cream matcha latte and hazelnut brown sugar latte. The staff is friendly and coffee comes out relatively quickly considering the large number of customers. Lots of seating inside and dog friendly outdoors. Cute flowers, cards, wine, and other gifts for sale. Recommend!

Beautiful cafe. Vegan breakfast burrito if you add the vegan egg to their potato burrito (so delicious!).
Great coffee. And you can do some work on your laptop here comfortably.
Favorite spot for coffee and working! They have a great vegan frittata sandwich and can make gluten free!

The café has a beautiful, relaxed vibe — perfect for starting the weekend with a good cup of coffee. The staff were kind and welcoming, and I can tell they care about creating a great experience for guests.
I previously had some mixed feelings about consistency, but after revisiting, it’s clear they’ve made real improvements. My cappuccino was served perfectly, the pastries were fresh, and everything felt more intentional and polished.
For a place that values community and design, Communal now delivers on both. It’s definitely one of the more inspiring local coffee spots — and I’ll be happy to keep coming back.

I love communal so much, I cannot say enough good things! It feels like a home away from home. First of all, the staff are just the friendliest, kindest most lovely people. It is the type of cafe where you get to know the baristas by name and coming into the shop each morning is a highlight of the day. The coffee is incredible. Even the decaf coffee is one of the best decafs I’ve ever tasted. If you like matcha the ceremonial matcha is the real deal - though it is priced quite high IMO it is absolutely delicious and potent. The default version sometimes comes with sugar so make sure you ask if you like it unsweetened. It’s such a great cozy place if you like to work from a cafe. It has great WiFi and a tasty menu with tons of options. The outdoor seating is so nice to work and get some time
in the sun.

Ate avocado toast and drunk golden coast coffee. Coffee and toast is fine but price is very high and portions are very small. Cannot justify the price and quality

Favorite coffee spot in Oceanside!
Quality espresso drinks. Cute vibes for first date spot or small group hang. Great shopping street - nearby Brixton, and some food spots. Close to the beach!!

Stopped by Communal Coffee in Oceanside and ordered a breakfast burrito, the salted maple sausage sandwich, a latte, and a vanilla bean latte. The total came out to $54.86 which felt steep for what I got. The burrito was a decent size but the burrito and salsa was bland. The salted maple sausage sandwich was on the smaller side and didn’t really stand out. Drinks were fine, but overall not worth paying almost $55 for breakfast. Cool spot, but the value doesn’t match the price.
