Oceanside, California has much to offer in the way of natural beauty. But between the hikes in the rugged mountains and the walks along the dreamy coast, you need something to eat and drink. It makes sense that you should demand the best local food and beverage and a place ready to deliver on both counts is Craft Coast Beer and Tacos. I spent a few days in Oceanside and I stumbled across Craft Coast Beer and Tacos by accident. I operate a beer blog and I am always looking for a brewery to visit. But based on the name alone, I didn’t know this was a brewery. I was hungry, tacos sounded good, and I love craft beer so I walked across the street and through the doors. To my pleasant surprise, I discovered that this is a small brewery and restaurant and I couldn’t wait to start sampling. Craft Coast Beer and Tacos has a small interior, with an open view of the brewing equipment. They have an outdoor patio, too. It’s very cozy and nice and, if it is on the cool side outdoors, they have space heaters to keep you warm. It was cool when I visited, but I opted for a seat at the bar where I could be warm and less distracted while I sampled the food and brew. With the beer, Craft Coast Beer and Tacos has about 12 to 15 beers on tap and there are several notable ones, like Bob Gnarly Double IPA, Pier Fisher Pale Ale, BBA Gnarlor Pastry Stout, and others. But the food is an equal star of the show and the Birria tacos alone are worth the visit. There are other delicious options, too, like al pastor tacos, carne asada tacos, chips and salsa, taco bowl, and others. If you love tacos, you will fall in love with the food at this establishment, and it’s made all the better with the delicious craft suds. I love the California coast for its natural beauty. I also love memorable food and drink and Craft Coast Beer and Tacos provides exactly the compatible match you’re looking for: Beautiful tacos and lovely beer to match the equally attractive natural landscape. It’s the Oceanside stopover you need to make.

Awesome vibes, great food, fantastic music, and bomb beers!! The Mexican lager is out of this world and the quesdilla for a basic food it is amazing their tortillas make this food hands down a must go to. Staff are friendly and fun.

The tacos were tasty. I was impressed with the flavor of both the chicken asado and the pastor. The staff was kind about making the tacos plain for two kid orders. I didn't see a changing station in the bathroom so we had to leave early. Parents want to eat tacos too. Especially on a random Wednesday when my family was visiting from out of town. I would definitely come back.

This was my first time here. It gets pretty busy so if you have a large group you may want to make a reservation. We hung around and some tables opened up for our group though which was great. You can conveniently scan a QR code to order and it makes it a snap to split the check with several parties and everyone can pay with ApplePay directly from their phone. This order system also make it nice to request specifics like no beans or whatever.I though the nachos were delicious with Birria which is delicious slow cooked beef. I also tried the carne asada and Al pastor tacos. The Al pastor with the pineapple was delicious. I would definitely return for more one day.

Wow..smh these are the absolute very Best Carne Asada Tacos this side of Baja no joke...reminds me of TJ taco standsthe chicken tacos had the most delicious smoked flavor to drool over and...the Al pastor meat was sweet & juicy with outstanding spices! Have yet to try the Birria but my husband & I WILL definitely be back to try it! Great food, great atmosphere, great service and great prices! This is my new favorite what a gem!

If you are looking for amazing food and great beer, this is your spot! Everything tastes like it's made with love. Fresh, good quality ingredients. It seems like there is always a new tasty beer on the menu every time I swing by. Also, their flagship beers are always on point. Just a short walk away from the beach, great ambiance, and super friendly staff. What more can you ask for!?

Love craft coast! By far my favorite overall place to get tacos. The Al Pastor / Birria, are my favorite, but everything on the menu is amazing. Great workers / staff, always very kind and fast service overall. Only thing I hope for is a price change for the tacos. $4.85 for one taco is a bit on the high!

Great vibes all around! The food was delicious and came out super quick. I got the Al Pastor and Asada both super tasty and flavorful. The beer was really good too! I got the Birria beer. We sat on the patio which was great!

Swung by here at the tailwind of a week long business summit when we had dwindled down to 8 people who were exhausted and had no scheduled dinner plans. This place was perfect for what we needed. Big family style tables (we found one that fit us all!), ordering at the counter system (so we didn't have to split checks), and really affordable considering the area! I had $11 carne asada nachos and a beer or two (they were a brewery too!). Whole meal was around $25-$30 and the nachos were FILLING.The menu is pretty small but everything is super flavorful and the extra sauces they make in house were delicious. A great experience for a weary traveler.

It was okay. Busy, only one small computer menu for multiple people wanting access. Overpriced, nothing special based on my expectations of it being advertised as fresh, fresh, fresh!

I've had 2 things from here and they are so good I don't try anything else. The birria tacos and the bowls are amazing. I always and cheese to the bowl and it's so tasty!

First time customer. Figured how bad can beer and tacos be, right? Small place. Limited menu. Limited beer selection and seemingly only IPA's. Admittedly not an IPA fan though the employee was kind enough to let me try a small taste of the two she recommended. Just couldn't t do it. I like an Imperial Stout like NARWHAL or Prairie Bourbon Paradise on tap and enjoy them year round where I live. Limited selection of non-alcoholic selections and only in cans/bottles. Ordered the top 3 tacos. Found the meat dry, overcooked and devoid of flavor. A couple of the sauce selections were good. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.
