I think the food here is awesome. Consistently one of my favorite carne asada tacos. I love the salsa verde. This is the style of Mexican food I grew up on. Love it! My only real complaint is I wish the fries were fresher and the oil wasn't so dark... but if you stick to the tacos and torts here, it's amazing. Not the place I would order a California burrito though.

I've been coming here for 30 plus years. I'm sure ownership has changed over the years but it's always been great food!
Have one suggestion though to Diego's... When I got your nachos tonight it came with a huge pile of meat a huge pile of beans some guacamole sour cream and a tiny bit of cheese sprinkled on top... NACHOS are chips with cheese and meat and stuff on top. If I were home I just pour some cheese on the bottom layers of chips and then they...

The breakfast burrito had FLAVOR (& were huge). Carne asada burrito was tasty. Cafe de olla didn’t need cream or sugar. The horchata was creamy & refreshing. Absolutely perfect first meal in Oceanside.
The staff, a lovely woman, was super helpful & kind. Chatted for a few minutes and made us feel welcome.
We will definitely come back & recommend to friends.
