Wanted to get some good bbq and man we were blown away. Such amazing food quality. I got the burnt ends and a Mac and cheese side, my wife got a loaded baked potato and both were incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough. So good ?

I've lived a block away from where Fat BBQ Shack Express now stands for about 8 years and have seen the shack go through a couple of different shave ice phases but I think it's finally shaped up to be exactly what it's always meant to be! I wouldn't normally pull off for a roadside shack attached to a corner gas station BUT I'd heard so many good things since their opening from neighbors that I finally pulled the trigger one evening when I was too lazy to make dinner. I sent my husband and his friend over and they arrived just 20 minutes prior to closing. They ordered an assortment of sides and a couple of sandwiches, all of which were prepared and packed to order so it took a little time but they said the owner seemed more than happy to go a little over time and chat while they were at it. The portions were large and fed two adults and a toddler (with an adult appetite), plus leftovers for the next day. One can only handle so much BBQ at a time but it's been a week or two now so I'm ready to go back for some burnt ends. Don't overlook this place, Fat BBQ Shack Express is where it's at!

This place is bomb. From brisket to the pastrami, amazing. And burnt ends which are a rarity around here, love getting my fix here for KC take bbq. Get there early to ensure they don't run out of what your heart desires. It's not cheap, but neither is the quality of the meat or how they prepare it. Sides are legit as well. You won't be disappointed and they're very nice as well.

I have been searching for this stand ever since they moved from their previous location on Oceanside Blvd. I finally found it today and stopped by. I got a 1/2 pound of pulled pork. Omg it was so delicious. So tender and the bbq sauce was out of this world. The two owners were extremely polite and cheerful. Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend if you want true bbq.

This is a review long over due. Came here last year sometime in July, and never got around to making an account to specifically rate this place and let people know I was completely unsatisfied. Food is kinda expensive for portion sizes, I mean seriously $4 for the tiniest Mac and cheese ever and not to mention Mac was not good AT ALL, as well as the Burnt Ends sandwich which was served on a burnt bun, and was mostly fat or hard meat to chew. Had some of their collard greens and those were also not tasty. A man came out from the truck with a hand covered all over in black stuff so I really hope he wasn't making my food. Just a waste of $20, mind you $20 for 1 sandwich, and 2 sides. Lastly the blonde lady at the window who took my order was not rude, un welcoming and just seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Wouldn't recommend this place I don't understand the positive reviews when you get told 10 minutes just to wait 30 for below average food. Seems dirty and nasty. I could go on and on just avoid this place at all costs!

Just found this place and it is excellent. Had the pit master sandwich which is huge. Friend had the Burt ends and that was also excellent. I will be back for sure!

Pulled pork was moist, tender, and very tasty; sauce was awesome! My hub loved his baked beans side as well. We'll definitely be back.
