The food was delicious!! We hung out at the bar and ordered an appetizer and desert. The tender suggested all great items. We had the cauliflower, which was an explosion of flavor and followed that with banana pudding filled beignets, those too were amazing.

I went here bc I saw online it was good for kids. but HOLY CHRIST ON A BICYCLE THE FOOD WAS GOOD It was unexpected. i just wanted a comfortable place i could have a beer and a meal at where they wouldnt judge me for bringing 3 cranky small children (we came down from LA area). to their massive credit they were in fact massively understanding and helpful regarfing the kids. they have a kids menu with a word search and lots of space to draw with crayons. they brought over waters for the kids with lids and straws. they get 5 stars for being accomodating. but that's not why i decided to post a review what positively blew my mind was the food (!!!!!!!) got a flying pig burger expecting a normal bar burger (i ordered a beer, which i expected to be the star of the show). the burger had one beef patty, one pork patty. my friends, i cant even describe to you how juicy and flavorful this burger was. it was so well cooked, so well seasoned. every bite was a joy. even the bun was delicious on its own. idunno where they got this was bun but it was so fluffy with a hint of sweetness. even the side salad was tasty with delicious vinaigrette dressing (and im not a salad fan- i just ordered it because i wanted to offset the burger calorie-wise). oh mamma mia, what a meal from the gods. unprompted, my wife exclaimed how amazing her dish was. it could not have been more opposite from mine. she's a vegetarian and it was roasted cauliflowers or something like that. she was in a state of rapture and told me and then the waitress how it was one of the 5 greatest meals she's ever had in her life. i believe her. my kids also loved their food, including my son who is a picky eater and seems to have zero appetite. he wolfed his buttered pasta down. my carnivore daughter chomped on her cheeseburger enthusiastically. there was a bit she neglected to eat and i stole it to compare it to mine and it was just as good. i could go on and on but honestly you should just go check it out yourself the food at The Flying Pig is exceptional.

One of best locally owned places we ate at while on vacation In Oceanside Ca. From the employees to the atmosphere to the amazing delicious food to the owner coming out and personally talking to us and other happy customers. We loved that he also shared his love for other local businesses to try . That right there is a great business owner. This food was off the charts we were pleasantly surprised. The patio is dog friendly and that's a huge plus for animal lovers like us. We will be back!

First of all great service from the time we sat down till we left. Food was an amazing had the devil eggs, fried chicken Sando and Brussels sprout. The decor match the whole experience. It worth stopping in and have a drink and grabbing a bite. Big plus for us they are dog friendly outside on the patio. The kiddos gave it a five star as well.

Had dinner and it was exceptional. Hard to choose which entree to order but decided on the shrimp and grits. Add the bacon and cheese you won't regret it. Others had the pork chops and the tri tip sandwich. We also shared the goat cheese bruschetta which was very unique and very tasty. Joe our server was exceptional. On top of everything all evening. You will not regret giving this place a try or coming again.
Great find in downtown Oceanside. The place is clean and trendy. The staff provided great service and were super friendly. The food was superb! The goat cheese is a must! They have a full bar as well. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here.

Beware!!! Their website & voicemail say they have HH on Fridays, I called & emailed specifically about this when another member was denied HH last Friday, in all fairness the Owner came out to offer 15% off after the fact & being approached by several Ladies. We had 24 Locals in attendance today & im pretty certain we will not return! I love my city of Oceanside & I do all I can to support local, but sometimes the effort taken is not worth the service given!

Ok first encounter I had the pleasure to be greeted by Mike who was a cool dude and hard worker, now the establishment was clean and there was plenty of seating ,decent of amount of IPA , now let’s say the burger was good decent flavor but I would have reduced the amount of hot peppers because you lose the flavor of the burger, what I disliked the most of the burger was the choice of the Bread the moment I took a bite the bread came apart so yea consistency the fries are string fries not that great I would rate them 4/10 and the fried pickles are so so I wouldn’t get them again, is it worth the price yeah it’s San Diego everything is pricey, would I come back yeah to taste something differentParking: The paid parking is located about 20 feet from you

Haven't been to the new location and was pleasantly amazed at everything! The service by Joe, who had numerous tables, was excellent. The food was beyond amazing!! Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. Amazing!!! And the owners are phenomenal. It's a must!
