Buyer beware!! I saw them at Irvine Park farmers market and bought one Salsa for $8($1 processing fee) The woman input my the charge for $80 in error. When I pointed this out to her, she said she didn’t know how to cancel charge or give me a credit but offered me $72 of more product. Really?? I told her I will be disputing the extra $72 charge and to please let her boss know of the mistake. When my credit card company put through the dispute with them they said $80 was a valid charge!! Now I’m having to dispute yet again for a green salsa. They had to know the worker brought back more product that day then she has record of selling. So frustrating and I will never buy there products again. Yes, it was $8 and I should have used cash but I didn’t have any and wanted to support their business and try their salsa. Do better Gourmet Tamales!! Train your workers to know how to cancel a c/c sale. Either that or you do this often in hopes people don’t notice the extra charge since no receipt is given. Luckily I get text messages every time my card is charged and I immediately saw the mistake in the amount.

Wednesday Little Italy Mercato farmers market and a different market on the weekend, I think Saturday Hillcrest market?
Either way, vegetarian-friendly as she does cook in lard but the meat options are still delicious. The masa is smooth and soft but holds its shape well. Comes with free chips. If you buy 3 frozen, it is cheaper. Goto for lunch at the farmers market.
Lovely kind seller also xo

Stumbled across these at the local farmer’s market ... so yummy!
I really enjoyed the Chile relleno tamale and the salsa.
Just because someone claims their product is ‘gluten free’ and charges 4x market price, doesn’t make it good.By far the worst tamales I’ve had the misfortune to experience. Nothing but cornbread stuffing, a corn husk, pathetically flavorless sauce and a single half inch cube of filling.
We were happy to discover vegan tamales at the Friday Borrego Springs Farmers Market. We tried the Spicy Mushroom and Roasted Garlic and Green Mole Vegetables. Both were excellent and steamed in the microwave exactly according to the directions. What a great find considering the challenges of eating vegan in Borrego Springs.
I asked the girl if these had onions & she said yes but not many & I can barely taste the onion in it. The base is LITERALLY made with ONION BROTH!! It not only tastes like onion but the smell is horrible, at least for someone who hates onions. I feel deceived because I think the fact the base is made with onion broth was worth mentioning...
