$30 for a margarita and a beer in a can on the rooftop is extremely expensive

We went to Hello Betty on Easter Sunday, hoping for a quick lunch. The place wasn't very busy, but we were told by the hostess that we still had to put our names on the waiting list. Looking at all the empty tables was puzzling, but we weren't in any rush so put our names in. About 10 minutes later, we were seated and waited for our server. Long story short, they were understaffed for a holiday weekend. Our server was nice and kept apologizing but was as attentive as possible under the circumstances.I will say that the food was good. The clam chowder could've been hotter. We split a tuna melt with fries. The tuna melt was made perfectly to my husband's specifications with grilled parmesan cheese on the bread. It was very yummy. The ambiance was chill and quiet, like a sleepy, rainy afternoon on the coast. In all fairness, this place is good, so other than the staffing issues that day, I would still recommend it.Parking: The parking garage is walking distance, and there are usually spots available. If you want to park closer, there is a paid lot right across the street, but depending on the time of day, it is very difficult to find any empty spots. There is metered parking on the street, but these are usually taken, especially on the weekends.

Horrible French dip. My friends seemed to enjoy their meal. I definitely won't be back.

Waited 14 minutes for a server to show up to our table. I approached the hostesses to tell them we haven't even been greeted. One girl rushed off to find a server. 3 more minutes went by without a server or anyone offering to get us at least a water or beverage from the bar while we wait. Lost our business at that point. We left and went to get fish n chips at Churchill's Pub in San Marcos. The waiter there was at the table in under 2 minutes, even though he had multiple tables going. Go there instead, it's worth the 20 minute drive. The fish & chips at Churchill's are awesome.

Was overall disappointed with the restaurant, we arrived at 8pm. The place had a good vibe and seemed fun. off the bat though we were given dirty dishes with food still on them. They were very apologetic and quickly replaced them. We got Brisket fries which were ok, then I got a cheeseburger which had a hair in the fry’s. it didn't seem like a huge deal so i just removed it but informed the waitress, I attempted to eat it still I lost my appetite. I was still charged for the burger. Not sure if it was issues due to a slow sunday night but overall was disappointing

First time stopping in, service was amazing! Our waiter was the best, super cool vibe. He took care of us and kept checking in. The Salmon sliders were good! The Tuna Poke Tostada was different and a bit on the salty side. ?

Great for brunch or lunch. Good happy hour. They do have a rooftop and a decent size patio.

We stoped in Hello Betty for a quick lunch. We ended up trying the clam chowder (excellent), the corn, and the Mahi tacos. The food was fresh cooked to perfection. Best part of lunch was our excellent server Madelin. She was very attentive, efficient, made great recommendations, and was a vey nice person! She made our lunch experience a very memorable one!

Not sure about the food. I waited 20 minutes at the bar while 2 groups after me got their orders in and drinks before I even got a hello. I mentioned it and was told unapologetically there is a line before me.

We came here for food and ended up getting dessert! The ambience is really fun and nice. The location is great and very convenient especially if you were staying at the attached hotel. The service was mediocre and it felt like they were either very short staffed or the servers were absent-minded. It is hard to tell as the place was not busy at all when we were there. The desserts are incredible, and very tasty! We had the Mexican brownies sundae, the cheesecake, and the chocolate tart, which is flourless!if you were looking for a dessert and a fun place to end the evening, this is a great place to go.

Disappointing food. Great view at the bar as it is open and can see a bit of the ocean. The food though . . . So bland and without any inspiration. Just a burger, salad and Mexican corn The burger was a burger. The salad and Mexican corn did not really meet expectation for the price. Anyone can throw lettuce together and put corn and tortilla chips on top. Had Paloma drinks- expensive for the small servings. Wait staff missing off the floor. They were likely in the back chatting. Pass on this one!!!
