Himalayan Bistro Oceanside

This is such a hidden gem, and I cant recommend it enough! Every single thing weve tried has been amazing and flavorful and super high quality. The service is also very fast, and we love the lentil soup that comes with entrees, its hearty and cozy and delicious. Our 8 year old son tells everyone this is his favorite restaurant too. Definitley give it a try!

we recently ordered chicken Chowmin. It was really bad. It had no nepali authenticity that they used to before. It was just spaghetti with some bell peppers and chicken in red color. Anyone know the real neplease chowmin would know that their chowmin is just really bad. Not sure what happened whether they changed chief or changed taste, but I am so disappointed and wanted to write a review. Not to mention the price was too high with less quantity

Visited on Friday with my family for dine-in. The food was good, just like our previous visits, so no complaints there.However, the service felt a bit off this time. We had to wait for water refills, and during payment the server leaned on our table, which felt awkward. At another point, when I needed assistance, she was on her phone. I waved to get her attention, but she did notice but we got ignored.It seems like the server may be new i noticed her 2 or 3 times before when i visit, and a little guidance on service etiquette and guest interaction could really help. The food is still solid just hoping the service improves to match it.

I just recently moved to Oceanside and keep looking for great places to eat or for take out. This place is so good that I ordered take out only 2 days after dining in the first time. The staff was friendly, accommodating and prompt. The food was delicious and the price very reasonable.
I will definitely continue to dine in as well as order food to go.
I highly recommend it

Great service and good food. Spice levels (1-10) are on the milder side of some Indian restaurants I've been to - recommend ordering higher numbers than you'd think.

The food here is consistent and high quality with nice portions. They have a diverse menu that accommodates a wide palate - the whole family enjoys it. The Nepali food specifically is great. The Staff is always friendly.

Chicken chilli was amazing, Chicken Momo was as well. The garlic cheese naan... I would eat that every day forever if I could it's that good. The Himalayan special naan was good, not prefer the garlic cheese naan. The tandoori roti was great too. The basmati rice was perfect and the mango lassi is my new favorite treat. Mango chutney was amazing! The mango ice cream has a little savory flavor to it, not sure it's my favorite but it was good. Definitely recommend getting food here if you're in Oceanside, it's so so so good!

Came for the lunch special, the chicken curry and sag aloo were phenomenal. Nothing was spicy but the flavor was really good. The lunch special is a large serving with plenty of variety. The best rice pudding dessert I’ve had!

Not that great, I came by myself, and because of that I was ignored for a long time and then wasn’t even given the lentil soup everyone got before their entree, don’t waste your money the samosas are better at Trader Joe’s immediate stomach pains after eating here
