Walked in at 7:45 and it took 45 min with only one other patron. I ordered chicken and rice. Would not recommend based on service. I would have appreciated being told my order would take 30 min to prepare when i had young kids in the car waiting.

Honestly, I had the hardest time going here after Thanksgiving. Website says their open and we go there and it's closest. I really wish they would just update the hours online so we are all on the same page.I came here a second time and it looked like they were getting ready to close but it said they are open until 9pm. I get there it's 745 and guy tells me we'll take one more order we close at 8pm. He knew the house hours were wrong online so why not fix it?Enough of that, let's talk about the food.... it was Onolicious ?1. Fried spam musubi- it was entombed everything I wanted and more.2. Kalua wontons- delicious. Something that makes so much sense and I don't know why more people don't serve it3. Loco moco- definitely a must try I feel when going to any Hawaiian restaurant for the 1st time. Highly recommend.4. Garlic shrimp scampi - it was just what I was looking for. Takes me back to when I was in Hawaii.. just thinking about it is making me drool.5. Combo kalbi beef and katsu- just like loco moco you gotta try.. Honestly, I don't remember it standing out so I guess it was ok.6. Highly recommend high shaker lemonade- I had mango with passion fruit..so deliciousThe food was great and the person who took my order was super nice. Next time I want to try the malasadas... they were sold out this time around.

I spent 40 bucks in here and first off a Hawaiian bbq that is out of Hawaiian mac salad i should have just left right then but I didn't and when I got my order they had 3 different dipping sauces so I asked for 2 of each and was told I was only allowed 2 mind you each of them contained maybe 1.5oz of sauce live and learn I will drive the extra 5 minutes to L@L Hawaiian bbq next time

To be honest, I was a regular customer until today after dealing with countless incidents. This isn't the first time I've had a problem with this establishment as the owner took automatic tips each time I ordered, without my consent until I caught on and asked for a receipt. On numerous occasions our chicken was uncooked, and the owner is never there to assist the employees on dealing with these matters. The employees are great at customer service, but they shouldn't hold the responsibility of ownership. This place needs serious improvement as the potential is there - but the owner isn't. The dole whip ice cream is smackin'.

I've been here several times and they are always out of something. One time it was beef the next they were all out of chicken. The last time it was the pork. It wasn't at the end of the day but in the afternoon. I showed up one time and they closed early. I wanted to give this place a try Soo many times cause I live a block away. Today I came down to try it again and they are closed for a catering. I'm done trying this place has let me down too many times.

The quality of food literally feel off the Cliff. I got a loco moco unfortunately the most driest. And tasteless hamburger patty. They use to be handmade but this one isn’t. It’s a store bought hamburger patty. My eggs where way way over cooked and egg shells. I use to eat at the one near mesa college and have always had a pleasant experience there.To me it just seems like the owner of this location just gave up. What a shame. I most certainly won’t ever go back. JUST NOOOOOOO THANK YOU!!!!

Finally decided to try this place. Upon walking in initially I was turned off by the atmosphere. Then they were out of spam and Kalbi and a few other items. While waiting for our food I saw many recent negative reviews that this place has gone downhill so I started to feel worried. However our food was pretty good. I got chicken katsu and hub got Kalua pork and Korean chicken. All the meats were delicious. Not overfried or soggy like some reviews say. Every place I've gotten katsu from it tastes a little different. This one honestly just tasted like straight bbq sauce. Our rice did not come with the seasoning on top so I added my own at home. Mac salad was ok. Not too flavorful but edible however it had Eggs and potato in it? Probably won't return. But I'm satisfied with my meal. I have a preferred Hawaiian bbq place in Oceanside that I still like better.

Trying this place for the 1st time & they are out of most of the entrees. The shrimp scampi looked awesome but we had to settled for teriyaki chicken, which is really tasty. Hopefully it's just bad timing coming on a Thursday after July 4th.

I literally redownloaded yelp JUST so I could write this review. Incredibly confused as to why this place has 4 stars. I will say, food is OK, but do NOT be expecting hawaiian bbq when you come here. If I had to leave notes to the owner& chefs, first and foremost: WHAT in the world is this Mac salad??? How dare you desecrate the best part of hawaiian bbq???? WHY IN THE WORLDDD ARE THERE HARD BOILED EGGS!?? WHYYYY THE F--K IS THERE POTATO SKINS????? THE SOLE AMOUNT OF PEPPER IN IT IS.... Omg. Freaking insane. carrots, fine, I can get past you putting that in there, but holy crap-- keep the basics basic. It was inedible. Don't try and reinvent the wheel! Hawaiian Mac salad is already perfect the way it is, you don't have to add all this random extra stuff. soo nasty. Please stop, it sucks. Google is free! I'm seconding everybodys reviews saying they refry their chicken. That is absolutely the case-- NASTY! And only ONE measly scoop of rice with the loco moco? Are you high? Did the homeless people smoking crack outside your restaurant decide the portion sizes? I bet they wrote the recipe for the Mac salad too! Potential customers: just go to L&L. This place is not hawaiian bbq. Idk what it is, but it's not worth your money. Owners: please go to hawaiian bbq! And take a notepad and a pen, make sure it's a big notepad cuz you will be taking LOTS of notes. Yuck.
