I like this sushi place , the staff was attentive. I changed up some of the rolls and they took care of it for me . I like extra wasabi and spicy mayo , they gave me ample of each . Would recommend.

Closed for remodeling even though it said it would be open today. Extremely disappointing. A gentleman stopped us and informed us it would be turning into a vegan restaurant. What?! Please, let this be false!!

This place is very good, service is great 3 types of seating, table, bar and Japanese style. Including outdoor with heat lamps. They have buffet specials and regular ordering. Awesome service!!!!

They close at 3 for 2 hours. Open back up at 5. My son and I went in for a late lunch at 2:30 to be told we had to hurry so they could close by 3. You can't run a resteraure like this. The hostess was so rude about it. The front of the building is so ugly, weeds everywhere. It really does look as if this place is a dump. If they can't clean up their front enterent , what does the kitchen and food prep area look like.

I've always enjoyed going here when I was stationed out here from 2009-12. This time we actually got up and walked out of a place in downtown San Diego just to go back to this place.

Horrible experience. It took a while for any staff to recognize that there was a line forming at the door. We were seated for half an hour or more before we had our order taken, then an entire hour before we received our food. People had come after us, and left before us by the time our food arrived. When we did, rolls were missing, and one special order (my sister is allergic to avocado, and asked for no avo) was disregarded. Then, when the manager came out to help figure out the problem, she said it would take more time, because she would be putting the redo order at the end of the list of orders... in a packed restaurant. She came back 15 minutes later to tell us how long it would take, and she said ONE HOUR. (Which is after they close.) We decided to cancel the redo order and get something else on the way home. As for the roll that never even came, they told us when we were trying to situate the redo orders that they were out of that item, which should have been said during the ordering process. On our way out, we realized that many other tables looked the way we did, waiting hours for food, one of them with young kid I will say that the manager was very kind and offered compensation, like discounts, and not having us pay for the roll that came wrong, but we spent 3+ hours there, and left hungry. And to top it all off, the bathroom was out of toilet paper.

Where do I begin - first, I made multiple attempts to make a call to see if we could make a reservation for my wife, brother, and 2 young children (5 total). I was told there was no wait and to come on in. We came in and there was definitely a wait. We were told 15 minutes but it was nearly 30 minutes before I got up in frustration after seeing at least 4 other parties who came in after us be sat almost immediately. Smaller parties 2-4 people. Understandable, but they could have made an attempt to combine tables to seat us. We were sat at 6:45pm and placed our order almost immediately. This is normal as we try to be in and out of dinner when we eat out do to our kids. Took over 90 minutes for my wife to receive her sashimi salad. We ordered 3 calamari for the table and only received 1 tried to charge us for 3. We placed a rather large sushi order and only received about 1/2 the order after 2 hours Ended up asking for the check and when they brought the check it was completely wrong. Charging us for food that should have been included on the all you can eat meals. They also tried to charge us for the "free" ice cream they gave the kids because of the awful service. Food 3/10 Service 2/10 Atmosphere 4/10 Will not be back

I took a group of out of town family here for dinner and, was surprised at the quality and freshness of the sashimi. We will definitely be back again soon.

Worst service I have ever experienced! It took over 10 minutes to just be seated (we just stood at the counter no one ever acknowledged us) Then 45 minutes to get our order taken after having to wave down a waitress. In total we were there for 2 hours but were only eating maybe 20 minutes of that! And to top it off the food wasn't great & rolls were teeny tiny! Not worth the all you can eat idea! I's rather pay more for better service & food! Not a place we will be going back!

Excellent service and ambience. The food was top notch. Parking was a little tight for my Chevy 2500 but in retrospect I could've parked elsewhere. The menu is vast but easily navigated. Friendly wait staff quickly accommodated my family. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered an Asahi beer and was given a 24 oz bottle of the great Japanese beer with a chilled glass that lasted me through the wait and dinner. Waitress noted to me @5pm it was happy hour and beers were half price. We got five 8 piece rolls and two tall beers and a kids drink . We left with 10 pieces out of 45 served. The waitress respectfully aligned the leftovers in our to go container via chopsticks. With a 15% tip we paid $65. Totally worth every dollar. I recommend Hon Sushi!
