I love IHOP. Living in North County there are so many bougie restaurants to choose from. However, more effort is put into the decor and atmosphere than the actual food and the service. That is for certain, the service in North County is very poor, and good breakfast food is hard to find. That is why when you want a good breakfast and don't want to be disappointed 🙃, you should just go to IHOP.

We went in for the $6 specials I have seen advertised which ended up being $7 here, no biggie, still cheaper than most fast food. Hubby ordered a regular meal, I ordered from the specials.
We went in for a late lunch/early dinner and it was was empty so no wait
Food was delicious- hubby got ham eggs benedict, I ordered the French toast special and we ordered the scramble special to share.

Haven't eaten at an IHOP for over decades...
The menu has changed a bit for the better, reasonably priced for today's standards (affordable $-$$$), the food was delicious & above proportionate, service was Excellent-A+, & the atmosphere was throughly enjoyable throughout dining.
Children welcomed with smiles & requirements they need.
Highly recommend a visit & will revisit when in the area again.
