My in-laws took us here when we were visiting. Based on the appearance of the outside and knowing my in-laws' penchant for refusing to spend one penny more than necessary, I expected this restaurant to be a bit of a dive. Instead, it was delightful. Excellent food, interesting choices, beautiful presentation, attentive service and a stunning view! AND reasonable prices! Win, win, win, win, win.
Great food, cool atmosphere, good prices. They have a nice happy hour upstairs and the beer is ice cold. Bonus is the house salads are delicious if you want to drink and eat healthy!
Whenever I want to treat myself I drive up to Oceanside to Jolly Roger from San Diego. This venue always hits a home run in food quality, location and solid drinks..plus wonderful barkeeps. Great views of the harbor from the bar area. Ambiance looks more New England than California. Plan to spend my birthday there come July. Obviously recommended!
