I have wanted to get here ever since I saw her on Shark Tank and see if the donuts were as good as they all said. The store is in a non-descript strip mall, interestingly, next to Weight Watchers. Not sure how many points the donuts are!
Inside is a counter with display cases with six or eight varieties of the Doatnuts. Unfortunately, the vegans that I was with could not enjoy one as they have egg whites although no dairy. I had one so as not to appear gluttonous. I chose the peach cobbler variety as the namesake is one of my favorite desserts. The donut part was somewhat greeny and not at all overly sweet. I actually liked it. It tasted like a not sweet cookie. To me it was much more satisfying than a traditional doughnut. It had some chewiness which I appreciated. The filling was a peach preserves or jam. This seemed traditional. I’m not sweetened with monk fruit like the cake part. I got two to go, one chocolate with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, and one coffee cake with crumbs on top and white swirl frosting. They have yet to be tasted. Overall, I would absolutely come back. Four dollars each is a little steep, but it was like a dessert and I’m sure the ingredients are not inexpensive. Go and satisfy your own curiosity, but I am sure that one of these days there will be one near you.
I saw this appear on Shark Tank. They raved about it. I couldn’t wait to try the donuts on Mother’s Day. They were closed. I waited till Tuesday when they opened. I was sorely disappointed. This is not a donut. It’s more like a cake very doughy. The frosting is subpar I was very disappointed. I’m glad it’s vegan and gluten-free however! But don’t waste your money and just try one before you buy four or five like I did!
Waited 2 months for my $75.00 Doatnuts. These are not very good at all. Don’t waste your money.
I love doatnuts, get a 6 pack every week. For all those with negative reviews, don't really get it- but of course they aren't going to look as amazing after being delivered across the country. Honestly, there are just those uppity high maintenance folks that like to complain. I can tell you they taste amazing especially for being a healthy version of a doanut. My fave flavors are maple and coconut. A true winner!
I went in person after I saw them on TV. They aren't open often so I had to time it right. The store is adorable and the service was good.
The donuts are... Not good. The sharks said they were delicious and raced about them but they taste sooooo fake. Maybe I don't know much about Monkfruit but it has a horrible after taste. Someone in the reviews described them like wet oatmeal formed into a donut shape and that's pretty spot on. I'm not a health fanatic but I have had many amazing gluten free and sugar free baked goods and these are not it. I bought 6, are two (hoped the second one was better) and gave the rest away. I'm not sure what people see in them but if you live them, great. I just want to warn folks before they drive all the way to the store.
Donuts are absolutely delicious!!!
Do not order online - So I ordered a dozen of the “most loved assortment” two weeks ago on March 28th and today April 8th I reached out to the Doatnut Team to see when I should be receiving my order as I wanted this for a special occasion and they eventually got back to me stating that my order will be shipped June 2nd(2 1/2 months later) this is by all means unacceptable as I’ve reached back out to the Doatnut Team to cancel my order and refund my $72.00 back to my account.
I believe ordering in person is the way to go until they get a handle of the influx.
You need to bring this to covina...ca.
In downtown Covina...on citrus st. This would be a big hit around here....there's a lot of health finatics....my daughter and her friends would love this ...I would too of course ..I don't eat donuts cuz I know the calories...but this I definitely would eat....come on down to Covina and check out the shops
Expensive
I'm already excited to come back! You walk in you feel like your in a fairy tale bakery. All pink little shop with the sweetest person working at the front. The red velvet and lemon bar were my fav!!! But all the other flavors I tried were just as delicious. In the picture are Red Velvet, Chocolate, hibiscus, coffee cake, lemon bar. The Doatnuts are fluffy, basically a little cake. They don't have an overpowering sweetness and I mean come on, Gluten free, dairy free, and simple ingredients? I love supporting the locals and especially a family owned business. Kimmy's is definitely one of my favorite places now and I can't wait to come back again.

OMG the best little treat for someone who cares about nutrition and what they are putting in their body could eat - a little bit of decadence!!!! The service is equally as amazing as the doatnut - thanks Mario for helping me fix my shipping address that I inputted incorrectly for my second order! My doatnuts made it from CA all the way to Delaware and then right into my freezer - easy peasy. Doatnuts arrived with great tracking- maybe not as pretty as they look in the store with a little bit of frosting on the lid, but hey, I don’t look as perfect when I travel across the country either! Hands down INCREDIBLE and I just ordered another 3 dozen so I don’t run out. This is my guiltless treat that I am OBSESSED about. If you are thinking about ordering, don’t wait, you wont regret it!!!!! We must keep small businesses with amazing products in business- thank you Mario and Kimy for sharing your doatnuts with America!!!!!
My wife and I have ordered numerous times since seeing this product on Shark Tank. Everyone complaining about shipping time and the icing sticking to the containers needs to understand that this small business exploded after the episode and did not have the capacity to fulfill demand, hence the need for a major investor. This is not exactly an easy product to ship across the country from LA, especially since it requires refrigeration, so give them a break on the icing lmao and just lick it off the lid and move on. The donuts are amazing and we look forward to new flavors!
We have ordered from Doatnut three times now and we are satisfied every time. the icing sticks to the top of the container sometimes , which i see in some negative reviews but so what? lick the top? it’s a small business cross country shipping FOOD. i’m just honored she’ll ship the yummy to me.
Can't speak on atmosphere because it was an online order. Service wasn't horrible but it was slower than expected. If they were good, I could ignore the taste but you can't call these or even pretend they are donuts. They only ship two kinds so don't look at the pretty pictures. I wanted to like these but I donut think I'll be back. On a positive note, they were packaged very well.
Ordered a box of the coffee cake and waited… and waited… and waited… Four months later they showed up at my door and even though the initial excitement had passed I was still looking forward to trying these out. For $50 six of these things should satisfy all of my sugar cravings right??? Welllllll not exactly. I can only describe them as tasting like damp but not fully cooked oatmeal mushed into a donut shape with a fake sugar glaze drizzle on top. Actually pretty hard to get down my throat both taste and texture wise. I did warm one for a second and the experience went from a 1 star to 1.1 star. I imagine the extreme desire to reach mass market has tanked the quality of this product. The price is outrageous even if they are amazing, but as a novelty they may have stood up if the quality matched their shark tank experience. I would genuinely give 0 stars if possible. I do appreciate having the 6 take out containers to use for left over now though! 😅
