Incredibly delicious and great for first timers! 🩷
Pros:
- Fast, friendly service
- Large selection of meats, sauces, and sides
- Lowkey, casual atmosphere
Cons:
- Very loud (that is a disadvantage at most K-bbq places because of the fans over the grills)
- They automatically add gratuity, so no matter how you feel that’s what you’re paying. For a family of 6 we paid $244
We are visiting from Phoenix and originally were trying to go to Gaja across the street, but they had a wait for 1 hour. Since we really wanted to try Korean bbq while we were here we decided to go to KM.
As soon as we entered we were greeted and seated which was great because we were a party of 6. They quickly got utensils, plates, cups, and water out and started up the grills. There was a wide variety of sauces, meats, and side dishes. The meats were really good quality and the marinades (bulgogi, spicy, and teriyaki) were really good. They even had dessert! There were sesame balls, Chinese sugar donuts, and thrifty’s ice cream.
Our drinks were always filled and dirty plates were whisked away quickly. They even replaced our grill tops when they got too dirty!
I appreciated the lowkey atmosphere after a day at the beach. Gaja had more of a “you gotta dress up for this one” type of vibe which we definitely were not fitting 😅 We also loved the kpop music videos playing on the tvs! I wish we lived here so we could go to this location more 😭
Casual and affordable with good food. Nothing fancy and no atmosphere, but very clean. I go all the time for a quick bite.
I recommend 👌
I forgot to take photos because it was that good!
Went to eat at this place, walked in, stood there for 5 minutes and wasn’t greeted by anybody and there was a large crowd there, this place is probably good but definitely needs to hire somebody to be a host cause it was way too crowded to be that unorganized as a restaurant
This place is FIRE!!! Super chill atmosphere, good selection of meats, sides, and ice creams. Lots of marinated options for meats, and even cut up hot dogs for kids. Fun little game for a chance at a free voucher too! Psst, ask about Beer Night. 😏
I get Korean bbq atleast once a month. This is by far the best place I’ve been to south of Los Angeles. Great staff, tons of options, sauces, sides, soup. Definitely recommend over any similar restraunts in the area

This is hands down the best K BBQ I've ever had. There's so much variety, the service was great, the meat quality was amazing and the seasoned meats were so good. The donuts were fresh and fluffy, creamy ice cream. I can't say enough positive about this place. Go there!

Everything was great. Grabbing your own sides , protein, etc, is definitely new for me but interesting. The exhaust fans are loud so you'll be yelling. Overall great experience.

I liked the choice of meat and over-all presentation. However, the exhaust was TOO loud. We were a group of 6 adults and a 3yr old. They charged our kid 15 bucks when she didnt ate anything. She has her own food. Plus to our surprise, they charged $39 tip. When we asked they said its automatic 18% charge for large group. NEVER AGAIN.

I ordered 3 orders of teriyaki chicken, 1 order of pork ribs and an order of spicy pig belly. What did I get when I opened the bag at home? The pork belly replaced with an order of teriyaki chicken without my knowledge. But before I left, I noticed something strange. The decor didn't match what they're advertising. If you're promoting yourself as Korean, why display art of unrelated cultures on the walls that have no connection to Korea or Korean BBQ's history? Then the answer showed up as a couple entering, not speaking Korean, but what sounded like Mandarin. And their comfort level showed that they knew the key employees. So I had to give a second look at the two employees who wore masks over their faces. Something was offputting about them, until I started paying close attention to their physical structure. The young girl, I couldn't discern her makeup other than she's mostly American. She wasn't the problem. The problem was the older lady. To keep this from being a novel, to sum it up, it gives vibes of a Chinese shop masquerading as Korean. Never coming back here again. So if you want authentic Korean food, I'd suggest taking the drive down to the Kearny Mesa area.
