By far the best Chinese food I have ever tried since I was little. Family owned business. This place brings me so much memories. It’s been here for more then 2 decades. I love the food here and customer service is great too.

If you are looking for great taste, large portions and a reasonable price. This is the place. The Mandarin is my GO TO for Chinese food. I've been getting Chinese food from The Mandarin for over 5 years. They always bring it with large portions.

DON'T EAT THERE! I ordered a few plates to go and when we were home half way done with our food, my daughter found a roach. I called the restaurant and they said they wouldn't refund because people use that excuse to get free food. DISGUSTING! I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!**UPDATE**The health department did an inspection and closed that place, they did find "activity" and they will need to comply and resolve "their issues" before they can open again.

We have become regulars here. We pick this spot over Panda Express, which is literally right across from them, any day. Price is right and portions are generous. We can feed our family of 7 for half the price of that of Panda Express. I prefer supporting this mom n pop place over the big franchise. Staff is super nice and they accommodate my kids request for no veggies in their food.

If you are from the San francisco bay Area this place will remind you of home. It is hard to find good authentic Chinese food in San Diego and of course you have to go to an obscure location hidden away like The Mandarin to get your fix. Prices are good, portions are large, history is long and the pork fried rice and sweet and sour pork are a great combination.

The Staff are very helpful. They are polite and eager to please. If you don't see what you want just ask. If the chef knowshow to cook it theres no problem. TheirSoups are delicious and plentiful. Want more meat or shrimp pay a few dollars extra and they will accomodate. Their entrees are so good. Don't expect to walk out hungry!!! Best Chinese food around that doesn't break your Piggy Bank. Its a small store that serves quick food. You can sit outside too. Mandarin never disappoints.

They are very fast and their food is delicious! I have been there a few times, and have not had a bad experience.

I ordered the Chef’s Dinner for delivery, food arrived late, orange chicken was over cooked and the spicy chicken was not spicy. Fried rice was plain(no eggs, peas&carrots, green onions, or bean sprouts) like any other “authentic” Chinese restaurant. Super overpriced for horrid food ($30*)

Went to dine in with my family. No AC during this summer heat or ice for our drinks. Older lady at the cashier was extremely impatient and rude. We ended up leaving after seeing a roach on the wall

we went there around 5ish. we are a large family so got about 7 plates to go the down fall is they rice had no eggs ( like the picture on here show), the orange chicken didnt have a food flavor, the potsticker were basic. it honestly all tasted like it qas reheated . the staff was nice though and the price for the about 8-9 a plate. so not to bad but not amazing

It’s not bad. Better than franchised Chinese places. Pretty big portions. I really enjoy local Chinese restaurants ! Will come back again !

Good flavor and large portions. I ordered wonton soup and Mongolian beef. I was a little confuse when my beef dish have unusual ingredients in it. Other than that tasty and affordable. Value for the price.
