We have been coming here for over 20 years and absolutely love it. The food is always good. The portions are large, and the staffs incredibly friendly. The restaurant is nice inside and they also are very quick with their to go pick up section.

The woman who served us at the front counter is one of the nicest human beings ever. And I mean ever. Customer service was off the charts. I'm not joking one bit. She could not have been nicer. We tried a shrimp burrito (diabla style--spicy), a fish taco, a carnitas taco, and a shrimp taco. I am almost always on Team Burrito but here, the tacos really shine. The shrimp burrito consisted of only shrimp and rice, nothing else. It was fine but not great. The tacos were all very, very good. Although seafood is their specialty, the carnitas were excellent, as was the fish and shrimp. For service and tacos, this place is terrific. I would skip the burrito and go with the tacos or something else, like their soups. I would absolutely return to try more of their food.

Wife and I were excited to try this place m, unfortunately we were disappointed by the food. We order 3 items, 2 chicken taco plate, wet Shrimp burrito and a campechana. 1. Chicken taco plate: unfortunately we only had two bites of the taco and couldn't continue eating it. Chicke. Had no flavor, salsa that came with it tasted like it was sitting for many days. 2. shrimp burrito: might as well call it a tortilla burrito. Not sure if they use a huge tortilla or my burrito barely had any shrimps and rice, but the amount of tortillas was so overwhelming that I couldn't even cut through without a struggle. 3. Campechana: It was by far the best out of the three items and the only plate we did eat entirely. Nothing special about but it was edible. Special mentioned to the red spicy salsa. Not sure if this was just a very old salsa or if that is its normal flavor but it tasted nothing like a red salsa. Unfortunately we are not interested in finding out if we were just unlucky as we will not be giving this restaurant another try.

The menudo is the best in north county san diego this is my #1 spot it's served 7 days a week. The service is awesome.
The food is alright but not a fan of using mole sauce instead of enchilada sauce but they do that to cut corners I guess also this place is a bit too pricey they charge you extra for the chips when other places don't charge extra. The young cashier could also be more friendlier.

is there a way to give 6 stars? ive been coming here for over 20 years & this place is consistently amazing with their food. luz & ashley (hope I spelled those correctly) are champs. there's actually 3 generations of a family working here & they're all the best of the best. the food & drink are worth the drive (I live an hour north).
