This is THE BEST BBQ in San Diego!!! Dirty fries are incredible. Beef brisket pulled pork with sausage links!!! They sauce is amazing, and the Bloody Mary comes with ribs as a garnish! 100% recommend this BBQ Joint!!! And the music is awesome, too!
Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors ro enter through and wide open access to tables.
The atmosphere is perfect for a BBQ joint. The waitresses are attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food is delicious and the portions leave you stuffed! I had the dirty fries with brisket (highly recommend) and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. **I took the tower of meat and put it to the side to make it get a better mix of everything**
We were in need of something to eat and walked in; sat at the bar. We had the smoked wings, a salad, pulled pork with greens and mac n cheese and that jalapeño honey cornbread....ALL good!!! Now mind you, this is California and it's on the main street of Oceanside so you will have a bigger check but the food and the music make it worth it. I ended up taking the cornbread back to the hotel, put it in a Ziplock back I had brought and had a nice snack on my long flight home.
Excellent hospitality! Food was really good. Has a great vibe. I had the brisket platter with greens and fries. It was perfect for my stop in Oceanside.
Outstanding pulled pork and beef brisket. Sides included Mac and cheese, baked beans. Large portions, enough to make lunch tomorrow! Great southern atmosphere, very friendly and fast service. Recommended for casual spot for a relaxing dinner
I love this place. Great cocktails. Amazing cornbread. Their pulled pork and ribs are tender and flavorful. I buy and keep both of their sauces in my house. The fried chicken thighs are crispy and well seasoned on the outside with a tender and juicy interior. If you get them with the waffles, they are very light and airy. Fries are good, but the Mac and cheese and mesquite beans are so well done. Shrimp appetizer has the same cornmeal crust with a dipping sauce. Catfish also gets the cornmeal crust. Back to the cornbread. It looks like it has been made in grannies cast iron. You don't need butter.
Cool place on the 101. We tried a few things including the shrimp brisket and hot links. Mac n cheese was good.Service was good and food was tasty. Pretty crowed short wait for a table.
Had a party of 4. It was 2 couples just checking out Oceanside for the afternoon and saw this place while walking by. It looked like a cool selection of food, so we stopped in. The drinks were nice and strong just like we like them. 2 people ordered the BBQ sandwich, one had the shrimp basket, and one had the catfish sandwich. We all shared, and I have to say all of it was tasty, the French fries were perfect, and the mac n' cheese was super gooey and yummy. The waitress was super friendly, and we all had a good time here.
Cool spot. GREAT food. The Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo was amazing. The Chicken Thighs and Waffles were fantastic. The Mesquite Beef Brisket was wonderful. My two choices for sides was collard greens and Mesquite Smoke Beans. It was our first time here, and we were blown away with the quality and flavor of their food.
This place was sooo good! Walking distance from the pier, I brought my 10 year old daughter and other people had kids as well. Even though it has a bar it’s totally family friendly! We had a great time and will absolutely eat here again next time we’re in the area!

The staff was quite unfriendly, if not rude. It was raining the night we went. There were clearly open tables and no one else waiting, and the rude man who took our name told us to “go for a walk or something” and would not allow the two of us to stand just inside the doors. We were super hungry and everything smelled good so we stayed. Waitress was just ok. Food was a big disappointment. Everything was bland. I guess maybe don’t expect decent BBQ in SoCal.
Great location. It was a hot late afternoon. No AC, but they had fans blowing. It was uncomfortably warm. The New Orleans Saints game was about to start and the place was filling up with Saints fans. A big banner over the bar declares it “Saints Country.” We sat for about 5 minutes before the server approached our table. We ordered our drinks (Pepsi and Waters)and the Catfish strips as an appetizer. It took another 10 minutes before our server returned with our drinks and take our order. I went with the hotlinks and a mac n cheese. My wife ordered the pulled pork, mac n cheese and the beans. The catfish strips were excellent. Our meals arrived. The food was ok… but not great. There was absolutely no “hot” in the hotlinks and the flavors were benign. The Mac n cheese tasted like the pre-made mac n cheese you get at Dickies Barbecue restaurant chain. The beans were a little undercooked. So they were a little tough. The portions were nice, a little on the larger side. Through our entire meal, the server didn’t return to fill our water or soft drinks. It wasn’t a bad experience… just not a great one. We probably will not repeat. Food- B- Service - C
Pulled pork sandwich, fries and iced tea with lemon. ? Stopped in for lunch and already looking forward to my next visit. Friendly service, good food, good music and adult beverages…this place is great. Lots of wall art in the dining area and bathroom. I’d definitely recommend this place as the food is good and prices aren’t sky high.
Stopped by this place for some beers and ended up getting the ribs, chicken and gumbo. The ribs were perfectly cooked. A decent bite and great flavor. They didn’t need a sauce and paired well with the sweet cornbread that they were served with. The chicken was excellent as well. The deboned thighs had an excellent breading and juicy meat. A couple dabs of Tabasco sauce helped balance the dish.Great gumbo! Although their was a bay leaf that needed fished out of our cup, I would definitely get the gumbo again! The atmosphere had a wonderful Louisiana blues bar vibe
Ari was our server. Great Brisket Sandwich! Plenty of meat and The Collard Greens were spot on! Thank you Miss Kim's for a Great Lunch!
