We walked in and I went to sit down to wait for my husband to use the bathroom and I was immediately greeted by a staff member who told me I can’t save seats. I said I was waiting for my husband and then we would order. She said you can wait along side the wall. We went outside to wait for my son and saw a table outside and she came flying through the back door and glared at me! Yikes! It was busy and there was a sign that said no saving seats but where would I wait? And to be followed like that was not very welcoming. We decided to eat at the friendly diner across the parking lot. I will not support a restaurant big or small who follows their customers to enforce no saving tables. We were going to order food right away so I don’t think this was an appropriate way to treat a customer and to be so rude.

I’ve visited this café twice, mostly drawn in by the high ratings and convenient location near my boyfriend’s PT.

First visit: I tried the bacon, egg & cheese croissant sandwich on the staff’s recommendation. The croissant was very flaky—so much that it created quite a mess. While the ingredients balanced decently together, the sandwich was surprisingly bland without the bacon. It was filling, but at $10.50, I can’t say it felt worth the price.

Second visit: I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito, which was listed as a popular item on Google. When I opened the container, I was greeted with a pool of grease—not the most appetizing sight. As I ate, I noticed the sausage wasn’t evenly distributed, leaving many bites without any. Like the croissant sandwich, the burrito itself lacked flavor and relied heavily on the salsa for taste. Personally, I expect a breakfast burrito to hold its own, with the salsa serving as an enhancement—not a crutch. $11 for a bland burrito full of grease? No thank you.

Service: The staff was friendly, and service was quick on both visits, which I appreciated. I also tried the pumpkin shaken espresso during my first visit, and that was actually pretty good. The pastries in the case always look tempting, so maybe that’s what I’ll try next time.

Overall, I’ve been disappointed with the food, especially given the café’s 4.5-star rating. Great service, but unfortunately, the flavors just didn’t live up to the hype.

Good looking bakery items and cakes. Feels like a nice local place to get coffee and baked goods. Prices are relatively high, like $5+ for a small tart or crème brûlée cup.

Food was delicious. Veggie omelet, with fruit, small cofee. 20.00. Order at counter, they bring it to you. Get your own drink/water.

We have been going since they opened, so hoping for an excellent experience. They did not fail. We’ve had THE best lunches, pastries and, the cakes!!! My husband gets me the double chocolate mousse cake for my BD every year. They are always kind, and it’s such an awesome offerings. So glad they are thriving and serving our community. 🙌❤️

Best place for croissants and best place for Strawberry matcha that I found in north county. I really like their banana bread latte too. In both drinks, the strawberry puree and the banana cream on top of the latte was delicious and tasted organic. The matcha tasted more premium too. They have a points system after earning 100 pts you get $5 off your order.

Saw this place on National Night Out and looked it up. We drove on a Sunday morning from Encinitas hoping for the best. It’s our families favorite new breakfast spot, easily tops all our local spots in Encinitas. Even our picky eater scarfed down his food. Everything was so fresh and delicious!

This place is THE spot for a croissant . It’s right by the police station and Pitstop Diner (with plenty of parking, bless), and it’s become our go-to for weekend breakfast. The crepes are so good, and I’m obsessed with the matcha almond croissants. They also sell whole cakes that are seriously beautiful. It always smells amazing when you walk in, just super cozy and welcoming. We love it here.

Delicious chocolate croissants! My vanilla latte was also delicious. Thank you to the young man this morning at 6 a.m. for giving us great service!

Just but some croissants, the sales person was a poker face and I left 18% tip, she saw it and just went to the next customer! No thank you for no service!! What is this trick of tips on a sale over the counter?! No more tips.
