I prefer local pizza places over chain stores. Pier Pizza has good pizza and small town vibes. It’s the thin, crispy pizza with an acceptable sauce to cheese ratio for my taste. My husband is a cheese lover though and was left wanting in the cheese department. They do have the perfect ranch though (.75 per cup). We paid for the lunch special - $10 for 2 slices and a water bottle. Will be back again, thank you!

Used to be a great spot when they had the lunch special. Was $9 for 2 slices and a can of soda.
Now what they call the lunch special is $11 for 2 slices and no soda. Weak sauce!

I suggest Best Pizza And Brew
$2:50 slices and free refills on soda on the lunch special 😋

This place serves amazing pizza, wings, and salads. It’s super laid back, the comfort of an old school pizza place with the TV on full blast while you chow down on the lunch special can’t be beat. The staff is really nice too and they made great suggestions. We left regretting not buying the full pie so we could have had left overs for later.

This pizza was pretty bad. I just got a simple cheese slice and it was very disappointing. The owner should be ashamed. The high ratings make no sense for what I just experienced. It was Tostitos quality. It made me miss that breakfast pizza square from elementary school. This pizza ruined my day and my entire life.

When in Oceanside with a great big pepperoni pizza from Pier Pizza, and it was the perfect way to end the day! This spot was recommended to us from other tourists, it is right in the heart of downtown, literally steps from the beach and pier, with that classic casual pizza joint vibe: big windows, laid-back seating, TVs for sports, and a fun local energy. We went for a 20-inch New York-style pepperoni pizza (they do massive slices too if you're not going big), and it did not disappoint. The crust was true NY style. Portion was huge—easily fed a hungry group with leftovers for later. Everything came out hot and fast even on a busy holiday night. Staff was super friendly and chill—total no-fuss spot. Great value for the size and quality, especially being so close to the pier for that beach-pizza combo.

Local business owner here. I eat here occasionally and it’s always been good, but the last time the young lady seemed like she didn’t want to take my Order at all. I don’t feel like staff has to be nice to me or hold my hand through a transaction But don’t make it weird. I ordered two slices. She asked me if I wanted the lunch special which normally I get, but i But I’m on a budget so I said whatever ends up being cheaper so she rings me up doesn’t bother to tell me which she’s ringing me up for. It ended up being 10.01 So I asked her if she had a penny I had a $20 bill she said no and gave me $.99 change. personally, I wouldn’t do that. It cost more to go to the bank to get changed than it does just to give a customer penny that’s just how I do things. I don’t know. I’ll let you decide But when somebody does that, doesn’t it feel a little personal? She never did tell me which one I got so I don’t know if I had a drink coming or not so I just left without one she she didn’t say anything just went back to her iPad or whatever. Anyway, gotta go. It’s hard to type with my pants falling down with all this change.

Love a little local pizza spot where you can get fresh pizza made to order or by the slice ($4.50) they have canned drinks and beers for purchase to enjoy while you sit in this casual spot watching your team's football game. The prepackage salad was fresh and it's minimally staffed so sometimes the line in the front does get long. Make sure to tip because your cashier is the same one heating up your pizza slices in the oven.
As for the pizza itself, it's a soft, yet doughy thin crust - NY style. While everyone is out at the fancy new pizza places I'll def be coming back to this locally owned spot ♥️

I was almost drawn in by the flashy new pizza joints on my walk over to Pier Pizza, but I’m glad I kept on walking. Colton fired up a five-star BBQ chicken pizza (NY style), and Jade served up some five-star service. Highly recommended!

Maybe the high ratings influenced this as I was expecting so much more. We had a slice of the meat lovers and a slice of the dirty bird, and they were alright but nothing to write home about.

Lived in NY for 4 years and this is the best slice you’ll have in CA. (And ya I have been to Prince St in Gaslamp)

Get the dirty bird it’s fantastic. The knots are pretty good too, just get an extra side of marinara.
