Amazing service, great food, beautiful environment and setting by the ocean. They went above and beyond with the service even tho we were unfortunately late when out previous appointment ran late. They brought out desserts for free at the end for the bride to be and the birthday girl in our party. Wonderful experience.

The Manager -Alyssa did a phenomenal job of helping me set up a 19th Anniversary brunch for my friends visiting from Detroit. My friends had a memorable experience due to Alyssa's efforts and the service provided by Odessa. These ladies are an asset to the organization!

My mom and I dropped in for a late lunch after a trip to the library and were very pleasantly surprised at the beautiful space. I had wanted to show her the gorgeous Seabird hotel property and was excited to try the restaurant out. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They went out of the way to brew my mom green tea as they had run out of iced black tea. The service and food were amazing from Tate to presentation. But, like many places the staff really made this place stand out. We will visit again.

I love this hotel and restaurant design. The food (Sunday brunch buffet) was ok, but not memorable and nowhere near enough to save the multiple preventable service mishaps given the cost which will prevent a return... sadly. - I RSVP'd noting it was for a birthday (but was never mentioned... so why ask?) - Checking in led to an 8-10 min wait; although there is no place to wait near reception, so a slightly odd design decision. - Hosts frustrated another couple asking if bar seating was open... without giving clear instructions... so they left which was awkward for everyone around. Perhaps training can help? - The host staff text us to let us know the table was ready, but we were standing right there and it was just us. Created a weird "I'm staring at you while you text me" vibe. Just tell us and save the text. - Table for two was nice, but next to the server station, so several casual server conversations drowned out our conversation, and twice (with two different servers) they interjected (obviously eavesdropping) into our own conversation. - Eggs to order were undercooked for both our orders (over-well was closer to sunny-side up). - Ordered a diet Pepsi and got a coffee... this was corrected after we asked several minutes later (was never given an itemized bill, so no idea if I was billed for both?) - Syrup containers were gym weights and were mislabeled, which led to berry syrup when maple was wanted. Overall, beautiful spot in OSide, but fast-casual service for caviar prices is a bust.

Food and service were both not great, but also not terrible. I enjoyed that they had different foods than the typical breakfast buffet like yogurt, overnight oats, artisan breads. We only because my sister's name is Pyper. Overall, pretty aesthetic and vibe, but to be honest, I wouldn't go back for the price.

I must admit that the Service was amazing. We went for brunch, ordered off the menu instead of the buffet & the server answered our extensive questions.

Nice place to have breakfast/brunch if you're staying at the seabird or mission pacific hotels. The food was decently good but you're paying the high price for the location and convenience to have breakfast downstairs from your hotel room (if you're staying at the seabird). The staff was very accommodating and the booths were very comfortable to sit in.

Very cute and trendy hotel restaurant with great service and a good selection of tasty food! This restaurant is connected to The Seabird and has great indoor and outdoor seating areas!

We were staying at The Seabird through AMEX's FHR program and we had breakfast credits. The credits were used on Friday morning and we had reservations at 9:30a for a family of four. Michele, our server, was excellent. She was very attentive and very patient with us. Especially she was managing multiple tables. My youngest order pancakes and he enjoyed them. My oldest ordered the chilaquiles with eggs and it was spicy but he enjoyed them. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was great. My wife had the two eggs and style with bacon and she enjoyed it. We liked the place so much we came back for the breakfast buffet on Saturday morning and dinner that evening as well. Overall it was a wonderful and tasty experience.

So many things to love about this place, but... Cheap shot including a 6% "offset" charge in small print at the bottom of the menu. I understand that it's become a somewhat normal business practice and that might make it feel ok. Don't kid yourself. It's shady. Don't be normal - instead, be honest - be upfront. You reprinted the menu anyway, just be straight up and show the prices. Diners will respect you and might actually come back more as they see other places are pulling this.

Amazing and efficient service, my hosts name was Ava and she was very respectful, welcoming and enhanced the experience. She sat us down and the waitresses quickly helped me and my wife order food. The food quickly came out and the steak was scrumptious and we loved it. 100% recommend customer service was phenomenal

The food was not tasty. We had the buffet and it was $48. I left hungry and unsatisfied.

FOOD POISIONING!! My mother ordered the salmon special for dinner on our first night. She was in bed for the duration of our weekend with food poisoning. We stayed 3/2/24 - 3/4/24. Not only was the meal disgusting in it's execution (A small piece of salmon resting in a mushy tomato based vegetable stew), but she was sick for the three days we were at the hotel and 3 days after we got home. At one point it was so bad, we were contemplated calling 911 from the hotel itself. We had to cancel the spa appointments due to her illness and an excursion planned in town. We specifically picked The Marriott due to its reputation. We left a formal complaint with the hotel, at which point we were told they would contact us with a follow up. Their first offer was for us to go back to the restaurant for a comped meal (not happening!). Then they offered Hyatt points, which were the equivalent to 1/4 the price of the rooms for one night, about $250.00. She has called several times to ask to speak with the manager with no success. If my mother was sick from their "special", I am guessing others were too. Besides my mother's experience (which was absolutely horrible), I ordered their one chicken dish and was very unimpressed. We own a restaurant as a family, using old products and selling them as a special is inexcusable and unfortunately a common practice, but at a beachside resort such as the Hyatt Marriott, you'd expect The Piper to serve fresh seafood!
