Some special sauces, great flavors, creative ideas. Can't wait till they're at UTC!
The food is fresh but a little bit expensive. Love the poke bowl, it has a lot of vegetables like cucumbers.
Pretty good, did the chef choice and got quite a bit of weird stuff but it was fun and it was an experience and our host was very funny and sweet.
Their hours are incorrect in multiple spots, so they were closed when I got there. Would have loved to try them, bummed. It says different hours on their front door, their back door, and google, so I'm not sure what their hours really are
My husband and I had the Shrimp Crunch Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and California Roll and they were all very yummy. I will have to say, they are VERY SMALL rolls for the price. There's about 6 pieces of each and the rolls range from $9-$14.
The chicken teriyaki had peanut butter and the chicken had bones and skin there was also cucumbers but on the menu it said nothing about that .
Have been here multiple times in the past. Pre-COVID it was a chill spot to have some good food and watch tv. My most recent order was the chicken teriyaki and the Super Omega roll.Chicken teriyaki - 2/5. Chicken and rice were plopped on a take out box. Did not look presentable or that appetizing to be honest.Super Omega roll - 4/5. This was tasty, but not sure if it was worth the price. The taste/price ratio is a bit low in my opinion.Service - 5/5. Very friendly staff and service.
Delicious and fresh..love the place..one of the best sushi places in SD
The only reason I didn’t give it one star I did two because the lady who was there next to the lady who took my order was really nice and really helpful and I’m sure she is an owner or a partner in the restaurant Anyway the sushi was not even a sushi if you really call it a sushi place and not to mention the price it’s a Hight sky sushi prices compared to other sushi restaurants And we couldn’t even sets out side even there was a tables and chairs so it was to go back to the room order
the owner made my family so happy. great times. great sushi

Very fresh. Price is a bit higher but good value since the rolls are quite large, and beautiful presentation. Recommend any of the specialty rolls or the rainbow roll, which has a good variety of fish.
Amazing place.. they’re so polite. The food is great. I loved the ramen and the sushi rolls. And they were very accommodating. I absolutely recommend this place. You leave Rising Sun Sushi feeling better... both with a nurtured body and a happy state of mind because you were treated with kindness and respect.
Solid! Super fresh and tasty! The crouching tiger roll is beyond delicious. Such positive vibes from the staff .
Horrible sushi !! got food poisoning. tried to call and talk about it all they do is hang up, or ignor the call. much better places in Oceanside for sushi much better quality at a better price.l never go to rising sun again.
Outdoor seating, hiding on the back side behind the main harbor thoroughfare, eateries and gift shops. Fresh sashimi and nigiri. Tasty gyoza. Great customer service. When ordering the sashimi combo ask to have the salad on the side not the same plate.
