This place is the cutest. And they have the yummiest tea ever. I love the pink decor and small deliberate choices to make each and every experience on your visit memorable. I'm not a huge fan of their homemade bread, but I think it's vegan bread. I appreciate the attention to detail and care, but I would also like some choices for bread. Other than that, we haven't tried much else, so it's hard to make a firm opinion about the food when I haven't had much. But, the bathroom is also very nice, and the place has a homey feeling and nice staff. It's worth a try.

The Rose offered a home feeling of tasty food and the ability to serve yourself with drip coffee. The interior decor matches the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. The Rose Cafe appeared on the Oceanside scene a month before our wedding. We were first alerted to Chef Katie’s creation by our dear friend Roxana over at Allmine who said, “you have to try this place, and you should get them to cater your goodbye brunch!”
It was high praise, and the name, “The Rose Cafe” was eerily similar to my wife and I’s favorite restaurant in South Park “The Rose”! Had the universe smiled on us again!?! I had to know!
So the day I learned of this place I RACED over to try something for lunch. I had the burger. A burger is an easy dish to make, but a hard dish to crush. I’ve had a million burgers that were just burgers. And a million times that’s been enough. But this was no ordinary burger… the bun was toasted perfectly, the meat seasoned perfectly, the egg ooey gooey, the aoli next level… it was a delicious scrumptious explosive dish. Not something you want to order on a date or business meeting unless you’re all out of f*cks to give like I was in this particular moment. I was sold. We booked Chef Katie as quickly as possible for the goodby brunch, and every step of the way she was amazing in menu crafting.
Flash forward to post wedding bliss. The goodbye brunch. We show up at 9 and Katie and her team had already arrived at the condo and set up a smorgasbord of breakfast delights worthy of gods! Guests arrived and ooed and awed at the adorable mini croissants, they gushed over the mini cinnamon rolls, they absolutely demolished the amazing toasts with fresh tomatoes and avocado spread. And then there were the quiches. It felt like 15 flavors of quiches, each more exquisite than the last. Not a bad bite was had. AND the server refilled trays and cleaned up and kept us out of the kitchen so we could truly enjoy our final goodbyes. It was magical! I can definitely recommend the rose cafe for catering, for having a religious experience of a burger, or for just meeting Oceanside’s next kickass chef!!

A very pleasant place! First of all it’s adorable - The decor is pink and fabulous- but the food is what counts - and it’s so good! Do you Like croissants? They are AMAZING- I had a pistachio croissant- to die for. I haven’t been to France… But I’m guessing they’re just as good - Next, the tots are outstanding as well. My eggs were cooked to order, everything was great. Wish I could go back but I live far far away. If you are in Oceanside- stop in.

I’ve only been here 3-4 times but it never disappoints. Everyone working is kind and happy. They share their favorite items and recommend things to try. Whenever you go someplace and someone asks you, “what are you in the mood for?” you know you’re on your way. Today it was lovely to grab a coffee and listen to the cure while I wait for my sandwich and enjoy a beautiful cafe on a sunny day. 10/10 the vibes dont disappoint ?

First time going! My photo studio is across the street and I was excited to try. Everything was amazing. I got their veggie egg breakfast sandwhich on their in-house gluten free bread and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The portions were so wonderful for the price too. The iced americano was amazing! Their reusable pink heart straws are so cute too! The service was efficient and friendly on a Friday morning ? definitely will be back!
