Went there for a late morning brunch with my folks. The food was good, but the service was really lacking, we had to wait ages to order and coffee cups stood empty until we could find our server.

I was very excited to try this restaurant specifically because I used to own a Jewish restaurant many years ago in San Diego. Please know, I am very frugal with my five stars, that said, they have surpassed on the welcoming spacious atmosphere, friendly personal service and food presentation was off the charts. Menu selection has lots of vegetarian choices, creative offerings on ‘traditional’ Jewish foods - Orange Custard dipped Challah toast, Eggs Benedict on top of a potato latke. I can’t wait to come back and try all of these and bring the whole family!! Kudos Ryes and Grind ???

Excellent eggs Benedict and chill atmosphere with open air seating. A little pricey but tasted great.

A good Jewish food-inspired restaurant. Certainly not the kosher option I was hoping for, but the food was great.

Nice outdoor seating, though the road can be noisy (stupid Harleys). My wife liked the latkes she got, and my shakshouka was yummy, spicy and hearty. I also got a side of coleslaw, which was fine, but I lived it up with some of their "zhoug" sauce. Breakfast for 2 was $35 ( no drinks besides 1 coffee) before tip. I would go here again to try more of the menu.

The food was amazing and our waitress Kate offered us excellence service. She went above and beyond to make our visit delightful.

Very loud music that we asked to turn down; no decaf coffee; hot food came cold. How can it be a Jewish deli with ham on the menu???? Latke had dill in it, not so good. Server was nice but won’t be back.

The eggs Benedict’s were cold except for the potatoes.
Unable to get decaffeinated coffee. Coffee only warm.
Music too loud.
We won’t back.

Got the traditional pastrami sandwich with sauerkraut and coleslaw. Every was was super good and the warm pastrami hit the spot! Only reason I gave this a 4 is because the toasted rye bread got soggy so picking up the sandwich was kinda hard as the bread was falling apart. Aside from that I’d definitely come back!!

Nice place and great people! Too bad the sandwiches are terrible. The bread (roll) is several days old and just gross. The pastrami ordered extra lean was super fatty. The pasta salad was tasteless. Lovely location and great folks but not worth the price for mediocre food.

As a Jew I feel duty bound to offer my review on this establishment since they offer Jewish deli adjacent food
The bagels: without a doubt the worst bagel I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot of bagels. A Shonda. Someone seriously needs to start from scratch with the recipe here. 1/10.
The latkes: Not crispy enough, not salty enough. 3/10
The pastrami on rye: Surprisingly good. 7/10.

The only reason I give it any stars is for the hostess. Other than that it was a huge disappointment.
I drove over 30 min on my day off to have to wait over 5 min for my server to even acknowledge me. Then when my food did arrive I was served pretty much hard boiled eggs. I ordered pastrami eggs Benedict. Didnt get a chance to try the pastrami. Yes she offered to have them remake it. Why? Cause obviously the cook doesn't now how to poach an egg. So won't be back
Food was good, but very slow to get to the table. Got cold before I could finish due to fans blowing. Maybe the bar tender was having a bad day, but Sunday morning and she clearly didn’t want to be there. Said less than ten words to me the whole time I sat there, and that included taking my order. Same with the people around me. Mostly kept her back to the bar and avoided customers unless she had to take an order. No follow up on her part as someone else delivered the food. Not. A. Word. None of the staff really seemed interested in engaging the customers that I could see, but hey, maybe they were when I wasn’t looking.
Very low energy. There are other options with good food in O’side that also have friendly staff. I rarely comment on things like this, but for those prices the owners should be requiring a little social effort on behalf of their staff.
