This place was great! Went with a friend and we both got amazing massive burritos and delicious drinks. I got the Pastor burrito and loved the pineapple pieces in the burrito. And my drink was the blueberry mojito 👌🏽
I believe my friend got a regular beer for her drink.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff!! Definitely will be going back again!
(And yes I took a bathroom selfie because I loved the walls)

Weekend brunch and football on every TV? Yes, please. Señor Grubby’s was such a fun little surprise. It wasn’t overly crowded, which made it even better, and they had solid breakfast specials going while the games were on.
We ordered the breakfast burrito and an omelette and both were really good quality and hit the spot. My son was all about the chocolate chip pancakes, which were fluffy, sweet, and definitely kid-approved. This place feels like a hidden gem where you can grab a relaxed brunch, watch football, and actually enjoy yourself without the crowd. You order up at the counter and patio is dog friendly. Chips are also made to order so they come out nice and hot. We also enjoy the salsa bar they have, I really like their hot carrots!

Yikes.
It was pretty bad. I looked up vegan option in the Oceanside area (12/31/2025) and ended up here during a holiday, though wasn’t sure of their hours but it we got there about 40 minutes before it closed. We were met with: “the cook is coming back soon, he went to take out the garbage.” Which was foreshadowing to how garbage the food was going to be. lol 😆
He made the food in about 3-5 minutes and you could tell he just threw some ingredients together really fast and warmed the food up. It’s really unfortunate that this was the worst burrito and bowl That I’ve had in the past 12 months.
He put on a ton of jalapeños, but barely any cheese. It was just overwhelmingly Littered with poop pickled jalapeños.
It wasn’t all on the cook, but bartender was nice, but the host definitely seemed like she was checked out for the day and wasn’t interested.
I hope this place gets better. It’s unfair to have this kind of service & be charging $20 for a sad defeated burrito snd the same for the bowl.
Good luck. HNY

My favorite is their surf and turf burrito. On Tuesday, they have $2 tacos. My favorite is the pastor. The atmosphere can be a bit loud, that’s a personal preference.
Had the shrimp Diablo burrito. It was very good

They offer some good vegetarian and vegan options. Sodas are not common brands but they are very tasty. Outdoor and indoor sitting areas. Indoor being a little loud when sports are displayed. Street parking available. Good prices.
Specials on sports days and the food is good.

Touristy, overpriced ($20 burritos), mediocre food. It's not Mexican food!

Got the Oceanside burrito and it is half soggy fries and the asada is dry with no flavor. Very confused by this burrito and will not be getting this again

Got a huge burrito. Yummy. Got a good pint for like 6+ bucks, with the tip. I like this place.

So sad to see a bartender get buried and not even know it. Serving people drink by drink, head down - scared of the line getting bigger. Hurts to watch.

Bartender tipped himself without authorization, management said they couldn’t do anything, food was horrible, scam.

Great taco Tuesday specials.
Senor Grubby’s was the spot for a meetup with a handful of friends. An easy stroll from our hotel across from the Pier.
Cold beers were on tap and in can for the special. We had a few cans of Tecate. One of our group enjoyed her half-nachos that looked like a full portion.
Standard cantina service and fair prices make Señor Grubby’s a good pit stop or even full meal and hang.
