The place seems really bad and it is. I only see two people working and the placement of the kitchen is in a bad spot. The shrimps were frozen and the chefs/workers don’t use gloves, also I haven’t seen them wash their hands for the past hour. The worker didn’t ask if I wanted my food spicy, so she gave it to me spicy. And what is the microwave for if everything is homemade. Are you reheating leftovers? Also why is there a table next to the trash?

What I do like is the at home vibe and the taste of the food.

The rolled tacos, if you can call them that, leave a lot to be desired.

The food here is amazing. It is on par with and better than many places that are far more expensive. This time I had shrimp ceviche and a burrito. This is my favorite ceviche anywhere! Everything here is superb. You won’t wait very long and the prices are surprisingly low. Not the best looking place, but not bad. The owner is attentive and sweet. My favorite place in Oceanside!

First time visiting Oceanside and this place did not disappoint. The micheladas were great and the adobada tacos were authentic and delicious. Definitely recommend coming into this hole in the wall and the owners will not disappoint you!

Small family owned place with Mexican cuisine. Very friendly and welcoming owners happy to advise and spoil you with some local flavors. Don't let the restaurant's exterior discourage you.

Vegetarian options: i.e. veggie burrito, bean & cheese burrito

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations.

One dish that stood out was the beer-battered shrimp—it was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a flavor that was simply delightful. If you're a seafood lover, I highly recommend trying it!

I have been here a handful of times and this time will be my last. I found not one but two hairs in my food halfway through eating my burrito. I’m so disappointed and disgusted.

This place is incredible! Simple, no frills hole in the wall with authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend the machaca burrito. Very hearty and flavorful. Check this place out!

Grabbed some food to-go on the way back from SD to LA. The food wasn't bad but the experience sucked because one of the staff members was really unpleasant.

Ordered: Shrimp Diabla burrito, bean and cheese burrito, rolled chicken tacos, carne asada quesadilla, fish taco, and shrimp taco.

Favorite item was the bean and cheese. The tortilla was warm and chewy. Beans were deliciously messy and cheesy. Simple and wonderful. The quesadilla was solid, their flour tortillas are a delight. The shrimp Diabla was okay, mostly tasted of tomato paste. Rolled tacos were forgettable. Minimal filling and super dry. Covered with guac, pico, and sour cream but it really tasted like a rolled tortilla with a little chicken jerky in it. The tacos were big and the fish and shrimp were good. Threw away most of the tortilla.

Their salsas were also just whatever. No seasoning or spice. Just either tomatillo flavor or tomato flavor.

Experience was unpleasant. I like hot sauce and next to the register they had hot sauce out. There were little cups behind the sauce so I started to pour the hot sauce. The chef walked up and asked if they could help me and I said, "I'm okay, I'm just grabbing some hot sauce." She said, "don't do that, I will get it for you." Then she walked away.

I waited for my order and when it came I asked the staff member for hot sauce. They said they put it in. There was salsa but not hot sauce. So I walked back and said, "hey, I was hoping for the hot sauce." The chef walked out and said I'll get it. She walked over to the sauces, grabbed one and put two splashes of it in a cup and gave it to me. I asked if I could try the other one and she rolled her eyes at me, walked over and splashed two splashes in a cup and gave it to me.

Look, why have it out in the front if you don't want to serve it. Both hot sauces were super tasty on the food but basically I got one splash of each. I don't understand why she was so unpleasant and stingy about hot sauce versus salsa but just the fact she was so rude and didn't follow through made it a bad experience. I felt like I was troubling them despite ordering a pretty hefty amount of food.

Anyway, food is solid if you make the right choices. The cook was a jerk. Typically it doesn't matter but she made it a point to be not so pleasant with me so I won't be going back.
