Came down to Oceanside to visit some family for the weekend. We came to Steel mill to of course support a friend. This place is on Mission and if you've been here lately you know it's on a really prime street... The inside of Steel mill is really cool. They have coffee beans for sale, mugs, merch and even records for sale. Ana was super sweet and made us feel really welcomed. Our coffees were 10/10 love the fact that they have milk alternatives that's a huge plus for me. We definitely will return to Steel mill when we visit our family. We want it to be our new go to spot for coffee.

Absolutely worth the visit. Amazing atmosphere, super nice staff (knowledgable & VERY personable), and fantastic coffee. My favorite drink was a latte with their honey and cinnamon blend. YUM.

Our first visit was yesterday. I love the layout & design of the shop. Super accessible as we had our baby with us & his stroller is pretty bulky. No issues moving it around. The employees were all super nice. We tried the fruit sodas (Cherry limeade & strawberry) and they were okay. I liked the strawberry but couldn't stand the cherry limeade. My boyfriend said they were okay. Maybe it would've been different had we tried the coffee since it's a coffee shop.

It has a genuine Oceanside feel to it. I’ve been coming to the city since the mid-90’s and man, it’s changed. This area could be last bastion in SD county and the little downtown area still feels the same. It’s the perfect place to come after a surf or if you are just making your way down south. Worth a swerve off the 5.

Yes. SO. MUCH. YES. Everything about this place is amazing. The orange mocha is HEAVEN. The right mix of chocolate and orange flavors... and I heard they made the orange flavor themselves...nothing artificial, everything fresh, brewed to perfection, my new favorite coffee spot in Oceanside (sorry Black Rock)
The best summer coffee refreshment is their Coffee Soda??!! so refreshing & sparkling + just lightly sweetened!! The Expresso shots in the drink are rich tasting, not bitter, w/ great flavor!! Nice friendly vibe from employees. Also they have some yummy looking baked goods, will try next time!!

Kindness, friendliness, and customer service and just a couple of words that come to my mind when I think of steel mill. I’ve been in the shop and ordered coffee online. My iced mocha was absolutely amazing and the barista Sam talked to me about his love for photography. Such an amazing place and can’t wait to go back in.
