I absolutely love submarine because it is extremely fresh. All the condiments are always fresh. The bread is extremely fluffy and the meet is freshly cut. What made this visit extremely special was the lady who helped us. Her name was Susie. She was so delightful and a happy energy. She tied this whole experience together. It's refreshing to see happy and great customer service. We felt appreciated and we are full of food. This visit was a success! Please give Susie kudos. 🙏 Thank you Submarine for being the best! Oh and fresh!

Got a tuna sub. It’s tasteless, like for real. I felt only taste of cucumbers and this is it. My first and last time here.
$25 in subway gonna bring you more happiness.

I just visited this sandwich shop and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience—so much so that my family and I walked out without ordering. This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I even convinced my family to give it a try today. Sadly, it’ll probably be our last visit.

When we arrived, the young man working behind the counter didn’t greet us, even after we stood there waiting for about five minutes. He was busy with prep tasks, which at first seemed routine—but what we observed next raised serious concerns.

He was refilling the lettuce container, but instead of using fresh ingredients, he picked up loose pieces from the counter and added them to the serving bin. That was questionable, but what followed was worse: he washed his hands quickly, without soap, then put on new gloves. After disappearing into the back briefly, he returned rubbing his shirt and face, scraped debris off the counter with his bare hand, caught it in the other, and dumped it into the lettuce container again.

At that point, we told him this was extremely unsanitary. He and another staff member simply nodded and said nothing. No apology, no corrective action.

We left immediately and won’t be returning. I hate to leave a negative review, but I can’t recommend this place given what we witnessed.

Employee doesn’t change gloves after touching register and continue with the next costumer with the same gloves touching the veggies and bread and touch the register again , very unsanitary

Friendly and accommodating service producing nicely stacked sandwiches. These are *wide* sandwiches piled with meat and fresh toppings! My takeout footlong weighed 2.4 lbs when I put it on the scale at home. Whoa. So good! The Triple Play is my favorite and the Prairie bread was a good choice for a dark option. I need to be coming here more often. Totally satisfied.

A tad expensive but well worth it. Always tastes super fresh and the people are always very nice. Large seating area that’s never busy. Go for the Peppered Club.
